Now that UE4 is free for use, I got some motivation back to work on this little project again.. I don't know how to make a nice wall/no wall transition yet though..

Love it, you should put the sine wave on a billboard and scroll the uvs You could also use a Y scale for turning it on and off. When the player switches to it, you hear the click of that switch and it scales up and vice versa. maybe flicker the emissive too for an analogue sort feel. Love the model man, it's got me thinking of how I'd take it in-game

Now that i got most of the graphics (background is from the asset store) i need to move on with my crappy c# skills to create more functionality
