Dude! loving this texture! Mind sharing how you achieved this sexy result?
Can't really say that I have done anything different than most do though.
It's based on a zbrush sculpt baked out in xnormal, then I used Ddo as a base for the texture, then overlayed some detail normal and roughness map textures.
In marmoset toolbag I use 4 point lights as the main lighting.
as for post I have tweaked the contrast plus adding some sharpness
I tried to do a fully hand painted char for the first time.
It is so 1000 times harder then I expected but I really enjoyed the process.
Started with an easy model (based on a drawing from a korean concept artist whoes name I can't recall but he does really cool shit)
I would like to try some more complicated stuff but I really struggle making the colours dynamic and interestingn, will have to study some of the amazing handpainted art over here.
I'm working on some new stuff for this game idea I have. It's inspired by the awesome dungeon puzzle designs in Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. I'd like to take that concept and try and condense it down into 1 puzzle per room (floor in this case). No idea how it'll go, but shiii... won't know unless I try :poly142:
This little dude is a test at maaybbe what the style will look like, I want to work on a couple of traps next than a small environment after just see. Than onto Unity to see if I can get this all to work :P

Mr. Arlo
3hr Freestyle Sculpt
I recently got to work on an intous at office and couldn't hold back. I blocked him out in 15 mins and then did the finishing at home on my bamboo. He's the always surprised, Mr. Arlo! He's kind and mildly curious and always wants to know what everybody is up to and when he finds out the look on his face is classic!
made the enemy align to the player and shoot at him at random intervals when he steps into a specific radius
since the AI won't really move about the level, just stay where I place them - other than to maybe one or two waypoints/cover spots - I'm gonna go ahead and make some other shoot anims for them, where they step to the side and shoot and whatever.. so they don't just stand straight all day

can't get proper framerates recording with both screens connected, but I'm not about to disconnect screens just to record
but that's an idea for the main menu.. it's looping at the end there at the close up of the player until you make a selection, right now it's just X to start the level whatever..
random if he turns left or right - then each level will start with him pulling up to it and stopping.. continuity hoooo!
Hi everybody! I'm currently working on remaking one of my earliest models: an Uruk hai I did some years ago... I found the file deep within my folders and decided to give it a mayor overhaul. You can see the process in these videos!
