Hey everyone I recently watched a movie on netflix called comic book: the movie. The movie is based off of a character named "Commander Courage" in the hopes to boost American's morale during WWII. After I was done watching it I wanted to do a sculpt of him. So this will be mine and whoever is watching's journey to the finished Commander Courage. Thanks for looking.
jfitch: Love the style! I feel like his knees are pointing to far away from each other, looks like an uncomfortable stance. could be the angle though.
yaxx: that is all kinds of creepy. I love his toothy grin, would love to see some textures
Baj: Your cloth has me drooling. I'm really looking forward to the final.
And here's a little update on my guy, he has a helmet now
This is really good! The grass you have here doesn't look like the typical flat planes stuffed into the ground, but voluminous clumps. Are you using the new foliage shading model for the grass? Or some other kind of witchcraft?
Hello everyone Working on a high poly version of a self portrait--me in the zombie apocalypse! Still need to make a wear/detail pass but I want to keep it light. This will eventually be printed at a sixth scale.
This looks awesome! Definitely feeling the tension and position of determination.

Thank you
It's actually the same 2d plane approach, but they're painted in little patches which gives some nice variety to density - paired with shadows being cast. Performance seems smooth so far too.
I'm using the FuzzyShadingGrass (subsurface scattering) node, which I need to tweak further, but for now it's a nice start haha.
Did a little more work with yesterdays head to make it a little more stylised.
Any critique is much appreciated
The first hour of this sculpt was recorded as a timelapse for those who are interested

Total time is around 2 hours 30 minutes or 3 hours
As promised, I decided to make fully-posed characters instead of busts now! I managed to finish my RWBY tribute within 2 weeks and I hope you guys like it! Here's Yang Xiao Long for February!

I love texturing
Decimated from 50-60mil to 7mil polys w/ symmetry. Now we begin the low ploy and
UV process....
This makes me moist
And I'm done!
Thank you
