I started reworking my gnome I made like...two years ago. Hoping to try out some PBR through the Quixel Suite since there are a few different materials on this.

Hey man, good start, but I think your geometry would read better if you actually modeled out the elements of you character separately instead of what you have now. For instance, the chains on the skirt looks like it blends with the skirt itself. Those should be modeled separately. Same with the studs on the bottom of the skirt. Those just seem like they blend too much with the geo. Simple rule: if its separate in real life, model it separately as well (to some extent). Start a thread so more can give you some input. Just my two cents.
Very simple prop, first baby steps in quixel suite, I can't get it to do what I want and it's so slow .
Awesome, I loved that Nova special they did on this sword. Just my two cents: the blade could use some variation in its gloss map. It's looking too clean and fresh; small little changes can add up a lot. Keep it up!
last time I will spam the thread with this one till its textured...honest
Marvelous Designer looks sooo awesome and revolutionary and well worth learning and I feel your guy here is a perfect example but I am so crappy with MD and can barely stitch together a t-shirt much less a complex leather jacket and the program seems to have a fairly steep learning curve and I am having trouble finding tutorials that are consistent, free, or in English.

You are absolutely right Garriola and thank you for the thumbs up.
DDO does give some nice results quickly and I figured out only 10%.
Still had to do all the little details manually but I don't mind. Guess my little experiment is over, my conclusion : you can texture shitloads of stuff very very fast

It's a completely different visual style, softer lighting, so I'll be polishing things around.
It reminds me of the John Howe style. Lookin' cool.
Here is my threat about the whole process:

should probably have finished off making the low res first, but what the hell
need to work out these headlights, killing me so far.
Took about 4 hours total not including rendering time.
