@Zwebbie - from the first post "every week a new topic will be released and its completely up to you how you interpret it." Just do whatever you want, topics are only base to start somewhere, so it's Art Jam not sketch or sculpting tread
I would love to spend more time on my pic but other projects are waiting me so I will finish here. maybe get back to this some day
Ok so I love seeing all the extra Dishonored stuff but I didn't think there would be so much of it haha. The main problem is it derails the thread so I think it's best if you are late to pop it in WAYWO and we have a pure deadline. Once the new theme is up maybe no more late posts
It's great to see them but it doesn't help people get into the next theme. Also it will push people to the deadline more.
I really think you should make a new thread for each jam, labelled with the theme. That way people can be late and it doesn't matter and each thread stays on topic.

Yeah, that's why i gave you a suggestion. Excellent thread by the way, maybe i'll contribute one day .
Personaly, I see no problem in people keep posting past themes... The most important here should be keep producing art, the way everyone feel more confortable. But anyway, it's not my thread, so lets move on.
I think the problem is that the people participating have no trouble keeping up but spectators are getting confused.
We'll just go back to what we had before, it's only gonna be a day or two of late comers and this whole thing is about making art so it doesn't bother me
Awesome work so far! I'm not a Character Artist, but I thought I'd give it a shot, because I never work in this style. This is a WIP. I'm working on Yakul from Princess Mononoke. I realized after the fact, my pose is specific to Yakul running, so that's why his fur is pointing backward and his neck is a little more arched.
I am not versed in this sort of style, so if you see something I could work on let me know.
well i posted mt porco rosso reference earlier now here's my sculpt wip...
still have a way to go and loving the work i've seen in this and the previous jams
This is my contribution... a homage to one of my favorite chars ever.
I think if you gave her a lipless mouth it would be better. The rest of the image keeps the same style as the movie but for the mouth you kinda went more realistic which is a little jarring.

In fact... TBH, I'm not really happy with what I got until now. I'll try to make her looks better during the week, if free time let me. Thanks!
Here's My Catbus WIP, I am kinda surprised there hasn't been more haha. I had made a leg to dupe around but ZBrush crashed when I was saving. YAY! Still have a fair bit of work to do though.

hey nice work ! cant wait to see ur final render!
I also wanted to make the Catbus in beginning but i changed my mind !
Cool to see other people doing the red pig. This started as a simple zbrush doodle but I got caught up in the poly modeling of the hat and goggles because it's been ages since I've done detailed polymodeling. Feels good to bust out some polies again.
I've wanted to make Nausicaa for some time now, so this seems like a good excuse to have a play, been a long time since I opened Zbrush, so just getting a feel for it again right now.

@JR - I would try to limit palette, now I feel colors don't work together much
256x512 texture and 1782 polys.
@ Madzia: Wow awesome piece of work. I like the colors, well done!
So here is my Porco.

Amazing stuff guys and gals
