How long did it take to do this figure study?
Also, what was your reference?
So far its about 2.5 or 3 hours in. I have some 360 shots in my ref folder, and this is one of the models. I hope to finish it up tonight and really make her shine. Cheers.
Hey guys, could someone explain me how the things works? Like, i'm doing those models just like a hobby or something. But does stuff like that getting paid by someone or.. well i'm lack of knowledge.
I am trying to set up a scene inside Cryengine in order to get some awesome shots for my porffolio and I was watching the tutorial Guedin made and it helped a ton Much better results than what I could get inside 3ds max and it is also using tessellation but without displacement map so far. Would love to get some feedback before I take some final shots for my portfolio
finally nailed samhd exporting

SeriousEditor 3 is a bitch. Couldn't export a skeleton because of some "edit data is not found, editing is not possible" bullshit so I had to remake it totally and carefully from viewing wireframes of the skeleton and guessing bone names as well as cross-checking importing my mesh and adjusting appropriately.
I am sharing a skeleton blend file as a result of this troublesome process hoping it will be of help for those who are going to submit anything to the upcoming workshop.
Project piece going to be used to test some styles, hopefully all works out well.
1974 tris no real aim or end point limit. Basic materials, light tracer, sky light + omni for those that might want to know, custom color ambients on mats for extra oomph.
Don't know if I want to do normal maps, I might though but using this same mesh just adding in subd's in zbrush.
Awesome updates all, Jeff I like that looks quick.
Mine took 6 hours I think that sucks as a turn around.
Still w.i.p. rip it up if you guys want.-Updated image
kaktuzlime I really like those concepts.
Update3: no bump maybe I'll suprise someone.
Started working on a Counter-Strike: Global Offense map. Going to have all custom content and a little spin on gameplay (down the line).
Here are two very early WIP stages of a central room of the map.
Also, If there are any Source pros out there, I just ran into an issue where the bots would start jumping on the floor (static mesh), acting as if it is not supposed to be there. I have a second floor mesh on the upper level but bots do not react the same way.
I will be starting a thread soon for this project. Just want to work in a few more assets and textures.
@ DashXero - Thanks! Glad it works for you, I was painting mostly with the smudge tool set to finger-painting on these, with custom brush settings. A bit of an experiment @Woogity- Thank you kind sir! @Rad Sauce- Thanks bro! Yeah, I hope it'll be fun for the players, it'll be an interesting experiment to hand them pre-made characters with set personalities, and see how they play them. @Afisher- Thank you very much! Daaaaaaamn, that's one hot dark elf! Well done. @D4V1DC- Thanks buddy, Cool personality on that bird yo! @Spatz- Thanks mate! I really dig your 3-D art! @Jaco- Thanks! I like your stuff too. Lots of quality!
Love it whats your reference Jaco, she looks super familiar
Afisher - great job man
apologies for the cross post, if you have time in the next 2 weeks we are doing street fighter tributes in the art jam and all discilplines are welcome
Would really appreciate some crit on this, looked at it too long, give me improvement suggestions!
Could do with vertex painting around the bottom of the rocks that have been placed (as circled in red) bring the sand up so it blends them in a bit more
Also.. make a thread already! :P
I've been working on some Kerrigan fan art and messing with Keyshot. It's pretty badass so far but here is what I've been working on any suggestions would be great.:)
Playing around with DDo and Marmoset last night while watching the game. Man, DDo is awesome once you get the hang of it. I think I got the base for this texture in like 30 minutes and then spent two hours tweaking it and tweaking stuff in Marmoset. I can't get the metal to look like metal in Marmoset though. Oh well, the final piece will be in UDK, so I'm not sweating it.

Loving the bones for dreads! I say make the angry brows a bit more subtle for now and shrink the lips down a bit! Looking good though!

More painting practice.
Kind of looks like shockwave ha. It also took way longer than it should have.
Love this Jeff, so much style!
