A small scene I'm working on with the intention to further develop my foliage making skills. I'm planning to make a treeline along the top of the hill, because it still looks a bit empty. Anyone got some tips or criticism?
Hey all long time lurker, occasionally poster here. @jeff parrott great texture work!@daven I may have to model one of your weapon concepts in the future. Here is my version of the 3dmotive tutorial of importing a weapon into udk. I also plain on creating a weapon pickup station. Crits and comments welcome of course.
Hey guys! Here's the final wallpaper with all 9 of them together, this was a big 9-week straight speed-sculpt challenge I did for fun in my own time Each pokemon sculpt took roughly 2 days max, At first I didn't know how to keep this up while having a full-time job, but I learned a lot! you'll be surprised and realize how much potential we ALL have, I believe if you plan well, worked hard at a consistent pace, and most importantly! setting your priorities straight. Goals that may seem impossible to reach at first will suddenly become closer within your grasp if you make sure you do these things Okay, now its time to relax and finally start playing BioShock 3..LOLOL!!
Easy. Just create cylinder with enough sides. The barrel cover has 8 holes, and I used 4 polygons for one hole. so the cylinder needs 32 polygons. Create the holes with 10 similar polygons using the inset function on the 4 polygons and align them...
loving these ww2 guns you've been doing, colditz. you should make a thread for em!
Thanks. I thought about creating one, maybe in the future.
Hi everyone! Looks like it's my fist post here on WAYWO thread.
Here's some illustration/concept for mobile game. Maybe i'll do some lowpoly from it later. Placeholder title, don't get mad )
That is so dope man, straight to inspiration folder !
Just some fun attempting to texture skin, it's getting there although I'm not too happy with it at the moment. Mostly the spec that's wrong right now in my opinion, bit too shiny and blue in parts.
Definitely some harsh lightmap errors going on, shading errors, as well as some major optimization that needs to be done not to mention only the flags are textured- the rest is flat color. Lots of work still to be done here.
cross post from the art jam to try and get some more people having a go theres some new stuff happening monday if people want to join in and have a bit of fun, new theme every two weeks now and all that jazz
heres my Booker Dewitt for the 'Bioshock' theme, tried to take him into my style a bit, sculpting on a tablet PC is still a bit weird haha
This is my first time posting work. Here is a UDK environment piece I am currently working on. I wanted to get some exterior environment and foliage in my portfolio (foliage technique sourced from the Polycount Wiki).
The train itself I made a year ago but never got round to using it in anything due to other uni projects. The theme inspiration came from those 80 - 90's rail and electricity safety campaigns (remember those badly made creepy videos they made us watch at school). At the same time I also want it to be a believable game environment. Currently struggling with implementing more narrative into this scene.

Sam! It's awesome seeing all of them together. Great job. Definitely motivating to make me want to bust out more art.
Feel like a dbag following Sam's stuff. But here's my fisherman's trident final:
Sure... thanks. This thing is driving me crazy.
Could you maybe explain how you went about creating those holes in that bit over the barrel?
