Recent work in progress, making this to test in marmoset 2 on the 5th. But fuck I hate the head/mask. I'm gonna sketch another one to see which looks best! Hopefully one that's more functional and appealing, so ignore the current one
I re-rendered an older piece in Toolbag 2, roll on the 5th so everyone gets to play with the awesome.
I want to find time to redo the face and hair now, shorten the arms a bit and build the rest of her....but I fear that all spare time in the holidays will be taken up with another project TB2 and subst4nce experiments...I need moar time
This is the base drawing for a female elf wizard for my "What to draw when I can't think of anything" universe - Dungeons and Dragons IN SPAAACE: The Campaign Setting.
The idea is that I'll use copies of this to try out different clothing, armor, hairstyles, and color schemes.
nice high-poly! I remember this being my first ever 3d model that i ever did. i will say without question that yours DEFINITELY is so much better than what i did
I would say that a few parts seems a LITTLE too soft which might make a nice bake, but since this will probably be viewed at a close distance, the softness might make the sharp parts like the blade a LITTLE too blobby...thats my 2 cents.
Finally finished the high poly of this, about to start on the low poly soon. I know I need to work on my lighting/rendering, but I'm still proud of how the model came out.
The wetness looks nice, but that doesn't work with wet.
Agreed, it's very wet. I'll be toning it down eventually. Felt I'd rather go a bit overboard with it first and then tone it back when I get closer to finishing.
BlvdNights : dude that enviro is looking mighty sweet!
hey guys, some shameless crossposting from my thread (feel free to drop feedback and check my other stuff) still early in the texturing process so expect updates soon hope you guys like it

So i spent all day looking up random daggers to model for a Skyrim mod and then after ages decided i would try my hand at designing something. This was like a 3 hour paint also i dont do 2d and i didn't use any reference out of laziness and i also suck at designing stuff so this was kind of a decent painting for me haha

Was planning to do same kinda model. Looking good. Keep it up.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to experiment with this technique then.
And finally the interior:
wow, this is so awesome.
great attention to detail.
what tri count do you have in mind for a lowpoly?
Thx Oddeyes. Well I didn't set a special tri count so far, but I guess ~20-30k for exterior+interior.

You've got the base of the foot rest connected to the spring, it needs to be separate otherwise it would stop it springing:
You're also missing out on an awesome opportunity for some nice shiny buckles with the foot straps.
@ TehSplatt really nice, love it.
