This will be the last time the Hangman sees polycount! I would post it to Pimping and Previews, but I'm dead scared of it being torn to shreds over there! Ha!
Best way to grow as an artist is to take critiques. I don't think you need to be worried about it being torn to shreds :P
I got a bit frustrated when trying to pose some lego minifigs so I started to build my own... the project got a little out of hand because I kept adding more and more joints to the figurine to make it more articulate... which made it a little tricky to get them all right and working well... but I didn't want to give up so after quite a few iterations
I have arrived at this
XD
I used the head from my little pony figurine but the standard lego heads fit on there as well... they just look a little out of place
@ Rayph cool stuff!
@ lon awesome! so much character
its still a wip since I want to fix something on the textures + the fur needs work or gonna use fur shells... but getting there herpy derp
Hey all, I was working on this as a project... but as time passed by, it turned into a kind of terrain sand box deal. Super fun stuff, but I want to move on to a new sand box; more to learn! So please forgive the weak areas, like floating fire etc. But I do want to point out that the sky is fully dynamic, and as you approach the mist it fades... all the work was made by scratch, shaders etc.
(edit)
THIS IS THE VIDEO... well maybe not, it seems I have no luck showing off good video. I will however show off the skybox, I think it deserves it, even if its blurry as all hell. https://vimeo.com/80623630
Also, I will post more rock break ups later on. thx

I agree completely, I guess I just feel a bit nervous about hearing what others think of him! I've posted in the past there and they've been fantastic, don't get me wrong!
Just a quick assignment I was working on earlier in the year. Made a character in maya for 11,000 tris and used no sculpting techniques, just relyed on hand painted textures
Would love to get some critique on my crappy hand painted textures haha threw them together tonight just to see how it would look would really like help with colours as well haha but yeaaaaaa.
TehSplatt haha this little guy is so cute!
Last cross post ''update'' over here, for reel this time!!
Final turntable.
Time to move on to something else now!
jstyles3d: Cheers bro! It's only polypainted with colors. Almost only standard brush with standard alphas for pores and variation.
Bubblez: Thanks man ! Your piece looks nice. Fingers feel a bit thin though. Nice job!
Dave Jr: The jaw, chin and nose have quite masculine curves. If you're trying to make Claire Holt, maybe lower the eyes a bit and work on the overall softness and curves? ^^ I would also make the ear lobes bigger. Keep it up !
TehSplatt: Nice! Maybe a bit more contrast in the skin and different materials? The belts could use some more washed out color on the edges maybe? Paint in some shadows on the gray wooly parts? Got the feel that he could fit right into Zelda: The Wind Waker if he had flat colors ^^ Great curves on him!!
also my low poly hair brush for zbrush is almost ready for release, just need to make a quick vid to explain a few things but Ive fixed alot of stuff and got lots of extras in it that should be really cool to play with. Stuff like different resolution/thickness, short hair, facial hair etc. Also fixed an issue with verts not welding that was driving me insane haha. I'll do some tips and tricks aswell
heres the original vid if you missed it, in realtime aswell sorry

Hi everyone. Here my latest project, Fan Art of Cammy from Street Fighter.
C & C are welcome! More stuff can be found in my skecthbook or in my portfolio. Cheers!
cool study crazyfool. That brush looks like a much faster way to do hair than I have been trying. In the vid is each new hair strand a separate subtool? Looks great!

Looking forward to seeing more.

@gartht3d It's CE3.
Good God, that is really awesome! :poly115:
I say doodle but I actually spent quite a while on it
Almost done with this guy, still have some fixes to do with the diffuse and move onto the spec. Missed some stupid obvious mistakes in the texture aha
I came first in the environment category.

Crossposting from the 'stash
Posting a personal WIP Unity project that I've been workin' on! The goal I've set for this was to use as few materials and textures as possible.
Skybox was created via this sweet script setup by PixelStudio.
Any critiques are welcome!
