Been working on this one lately for some practice and change from the environment stuff I normally do. Got a few more fixes and tweaks before I can wrap this one up. More pictures on my thread - Storm Chaser
Hi, guys, It's been a lng journey, but I finally made it. I finished my graduation project.
I want to thank everyone on polycount community who answered my countless threads at tech talk, always with patience and support.
My project consisted in adapting the book: Battle of Armageddon, from the brazilian author Eduardo Spohr. It is a book that uses the Bible as a background for some very interesting topics.
So I tried to adapt its prologue, to create interest in the book and to be a teaser for a possible web series. It is on my native language, Portuguese, but I added subtitles, just click the "close captions" option.
I tried to make it low poly, to understand the game industry pipeline.
So it has the real time look, but was rendered in Maya. Well, here it is.
Feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Finished the younger girl. Some serious time constraints (2 weeks to final mesh for the riggers and animators, 1 week allowed for touch-ups after that point). I'm very happy with her though, my first shot at a kid (she's supposed to be 9), and sticking to a decent texture and poly budget.
My friend kindly donated his face to my cause! Currently working on an operator model. Hair was just a muck-about, for the most part he'll have a helmet on.

Fantastic work, ysalex! I can't believe how crisp the models look! What was the polycount on the child, if you don't mind my asking?
First hard surface zbrush sculpt. Have to thank the artists from the Zbrush SIGGRAPH 2013 videos for sharing their tips. Going to try to retopologize next.
Looks great. It's a great design. The bolts at the top of the face shield look a little too modern and out of place for the rest of the design. Maybe something more inset? I love it though. Nice work.
I stumbled upon the Polycount Recap and found my scene at an early stage, I`m humbled.
Here it is 'finished' I had high hopes and a list of assets longer than my arm! I see its errors and hope some day to work smarter and get a scene done which i`m really happy with!
here is something i did for a client on a project. Got a really bad aerial image from the client that need better color and contrast.
Here was my result.

I'm loving the storm chaser!
Still missing FX, ground, and overall retouch for better harmony with all textures.
