@Rayph: Ah, that brings back mammaries err...memory's. Looking awesome! I've always wanted to do a next gen version of Visor or Grunt...maybe one day I'll get round to it.
Little update from me. More or less got the front and back of the torso finished. After a few more details (mainly around the neck) it's on to the arms.
What was your process for creating this? Did you use maya or zbrush etc.?
Calling this guy done. Scrapped the weapons as they looked out of place and unfortunately (due to lack of foresight) its not very deformable. 6'264 tris.
HOLY SHIT! This is just oozing with style, man. I'm dropping this into my inspiration folder for sure.
Awesome work everyone, inspiring as always. Baj Singh
Couldn't you add in whatever edge loops you needed to fix that?
I've added in loops after the fact and I don't think It would hurt too much to give It a go and maybe relax the newly added loops in the uv's without too much distortion.
just throwing an idea out there, if it is bad well I guess that is why planning ahead is a good idea.
Cosmo85 - nice sculpt, looks like it what fun to do
okkun - Nice!
CrackRockSteady -Looks like you working with a decent budget, I'd add some more geo to the wheels. Great start on the texture, now give it some personality
OMG! I'm loving this one! I'd love to see more (flats, wire, or even more work in that style!) such a lovely piece. Goes directly into my inspiration folder! More please!
You did a really great job Calvin. Very inspiring.
Airdrummer: Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was such a good idea, one gets used to colors when looking at them for hours on end ... Also, it's the first time I tried that "color abbreviation" trick, it makes the painting really pop out
