Hey there, i'm new here (well, i registered a while ago but i haven't really become active in the community here.) and here's a bit of what i've been working on (a game using Unity3D.)
It's probably not as high of a calibre of work you're used to seeing but i thought i might as well share anyway, see if people are interested in taking a look-see at what i've got going.
(there are a lot more assets i've made but i haven't released all of them yet... and yes, "bad seed" is the name i'm using on facebook so that's why it's got that bug/watermark on it.)
Decided to render out my car in Vray for the highpoly shots, never touched it before so im just trying to learn the basics. I figured the highpoly shots of the car would benefit from something more than the usual grey falloff. If anyone has any tips im all ears! The HP model is 99% complete. (Just need to finish the suspension and the engine.)
This month I'm focusing on high poly modeling in Modo as part of my skill level up plan. This ... personal massager(?) ... is me playing around and trying to figure out how to make shapes happen with minimal geometry.
I also spent a bunch of time setting up Modo AS I worked on this so I could get the stuff I actually need on hot keys and installed a few scripts to boot (mostly Seneca stuff).
I'll never model without edge weights again! So much faster than laying in all those extra loops and edges...
Hello everyone, nice start of the year with cool art. I made a dirt and quick pair of gloves for my biker. This is taking shape, i still got this week until i got back to work. Lets see if i can finish the pants and jacket before.

Have you tried exporting from Modo to UDK? I've been having some trouble myself... I really prefer Modo as a modeling / texturing application to Max/Blender/whatever but I can't seem to export it properly.
Made this my little pony girl a while back to get her printed and she finally arrived over Christmas . I love 3D printing! This is a test rendering and below a photo of the actual print out. More images can be found on the product page on shapeways. Unfortunately her little finger broke off during transport, but otherwise the model came out great!

Did some proportion and shader tweaking. Think I'm getting close to calling her done.

I spent a lot of 2012 playing Ocarina of Time like 10 minutes at a time.
Whats it for? Just personal art?
Actually, it very much resembles anti-ship missiles from Space Battleship Yamato, aka Star Blazers...
My New Year's resolution is to post more. Also, finish forum contests in time to actually enter them.
