Some more progress on my Elypse character, I usually do realistic artwork so I'm trying to branch out with this guy a little bit, hopefully i can achieve that painterly feel that World of Warcraft and DOTA has His hood is a horned owl, Wolf paw gloves, agility boots, (I'm a pisces so his buckle has the pisces symbol, and a moon crescent on his chest, each piece of armor will have a glow to it so he can be seen in the night time.
Dude Gaussome concept! I love it, I've been trying not to do guns buy that's so interesting I'm kind of itching to make it.
hey thanks man
if you decide to do it, go ahead and ping me, so I can send you the model pictured in the lower left hand--that way you do a little clean up, finish the high poly, no reason to have to remodel all the rest
I feel kinda overwhelmed by all the awesome in this thread, posting this basic thing, but I gotta start somewhere.Been trying to get into Sculptris after getting it last year so here's a WIP of a bear warrior based on a character by a guy I know. I've been trying to keep it as low-poly as possible while I touch up the anatomy, but here's how it looked once I'd gotten it all built up.
Armor and stuff is gonna be added once he's fully built (and I learn how to make some that doesn't look like a lump of ass)
Havent posted in a while! I've started a new job in London and not really had much time to bust out any personal work. Heres the art test I did for my new position.....An Earth Golem
here is my keeper of the northlight sculpt, new mount, hood, beard, furcollar, staff, and cloak end the lowpoly stuff is the original keeper of the light

picking up on this model I made a little while back and gonna finish him up proper. adding in finer detailing and additional changes to the hiRes. Original concept by Dan Luvisi (http://www.danluvisiart.com/artworks/alister.jpg)
@ Luke - That ninja is really badass. I had to do a quick paintover of what I think might improve it. The lower legs are looking a bit too thin right now. The mag pouches are a bit flat at the moment. I get that hes a ninja but maybe throwing in a little bit of color variation will help certain details read better. You have a pretty decent grunge pass going but I'd like to see some battle damage- maybe a few fabric tears to make this guy look like hes been through some shit. Hope my suggestions help. Great work nonetheless.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I think swapping the shoulder the swords are drawn will add complexity to both sides of the silhouette. Plus I think that pauldron may cause some difficulty drawing the swords :O
Hey everyone! Amazing work popping up here as usual. Started a job about a month ago, so my personal work as slowed down a bit. But, here is a character I just wrapped up, affectionately dubbed Gunny McGunnerson. He's an obscure character from a comic called Kill Audio.

This is one great character! Congratulations on the new job!
