Alright first time using sketchfab, hopefully things work.
Just flat color for now testing out the bakes. I may have gone too high poly but this thing is for portfolio and it stands 2.5 characters tall (according to the concept) so maybe 15 feet tall... plus the most common feedback I got at GDC and other such reviews was that I take optimization too far

apologies for the shat vid quality, made this a little while back forgot to post download link
it's a .pyc,
put in C: \Users\*userName\Documents\maya*version\scripts\
reopen maya
enter python command:
import round
select something
round.round()
Still very much a WIP. Major geo finally got blocked in this weekend. I'm working on lighting and texture/material polish right now. Also on the plate is some vfx for dripping goo, fog, some more world position offset work, and making the "creep" crawl. I'm aiming for as much movement in this as possible.
Thank you to whoever at Blizzard painted this awesome concept!

alright, that looks wonderful and I'd love to give it a shot, but it's flagging me with
# Error: line 1: ImportError: file <maya console> line 1: Bad magic number in C:/Users/Xelioth/Documents/maya/2014-x64/scripts\round.pyc
I'm working on one of those silly horse masks. I think I'll be redoing a lot of the texture, and I have no idea how I could do the mane. Is there a nice fluid way of doing hair planes?

What am I doing wrong?
hmm "bad magic number?" that's useful autodesk.
possibly that it's compiled for 2013-x64, and your running 2014,
guess I'll end up just upload the uncompiled and seeing if that runs for you, cause I'm not going to run around updating it for every version of Maya.

For the lol type of enviro, very early flat work. Just getting down shapes and variation. I will play with the backdrop textures and grunge stuff up. Might even make another weapon to put in the middle
Holy shit, amazing artwork in here always!
Cordell Felix: Amazing! Love the high poly. Very clean and nice.
Yury: Love it! Only thing I would mess with are the tires. They are too clean for the body of that vehicle.
Sweet car Yuri! @Straubulus, that character is so freaking creepy... but awesome. *shivers*
Ok done with this for real now. Cleaned it up a bit and added some more color variation. I kind of forgot to think of its context while making it... oops... Riverbed maybe?
recently finished this character for a class with Kurt Papstein, design based off original concept by Kurt.
Nice job man ! Looks really like the concept. It's just a bit sad that the texture is a bit grey-ish on the body... Needs more red, of more blue/purple if it was your first intention.
And your car is getting really sick Yury ! Keep going !

Inspired by the Last of Us, wanted to do a face that might fit into that world.
This is really great. So much life on them. Beautiful execution. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
