I did all the textures and character designs, modeling was done by a friend. Would love some C&Cs.
I like the general style of everything, so props there.
There's one thing bugging me about this character though. The lacing just below her chest armour looks similar to corset lacing. However, corsets lace like that in the back, not the front. Showing skin there also kind of conflicts with the rest of the character being so heavily armoured and covered (which I love btw!). Given all the detail on everything else, you might be able to get away with not having any kind of lacing detail or anything there anyway.
I did a pose test of the model I'm working on. I think the pose needs to be pushed more (ignoring the fact that the fingers aren't closed) and I'm still touching up textures and materials but if anyone has the time I could use a bit of feedback over here: link

My bake turned out fine, not too soft by the looks of it. I've been playing with the spec aswell, I input a super soft cubemap through it which works pretty nice, you can see it faintly on the forehead/brow shine.
Also after after how many years of UDK development haha I finally found the FOV bar haha!
A bed I started tonight for my environment going to take it into Zbrush tomorrow and maybe change the sheet. I'm not sure I like how Max's cloth modifier looks.
Finally jumping back into work mode after some recent family/medical issues. Hoping to get the whole thing blocked out by the weekend.

I do think the best way is to take your base mesh and modify it, much quicker and less painful
I just bought wrapit anyway, which is actually pretty good and should speed up my workflow
retopo of bruces head. took my time on this and improved the likeness a lot.
Final Renders of my troll duet, modeled in max, sculpted in mudbox, composited in photoshop. Each troll has 1k texture maps and roughly 7k triangles, had a blast workin' on these two, can't wait for my next projects
A failure with the first texturing "scale" has been fixed. Hopefully that Van Gogh emulation is coming through, though understandably it's mostly on the helmet. The small and medium marks, instead of a WoW approach to it where the blends are more explicitly cleaner. But some stuff still carries over like edge highlights, etc.
Any critiques from anyone?
Btw, how do you make cloth/leather looks more like it's supposed to be across the Diffuse, Glow, and Specular maps?
