awesome sauce!
character and environment look great, like how she integrates into the scene without any major problems - maybe the cell shaded look could be rethough? :poly142::poly124:
the idle pose is no too awesome :poly122:
she looks very stiff and unsure about not only herself but what she is doing in the scene.
I'd love to see you give her a bit more attitude and selfconfidence by moving her weight forward a bit. I personally like to put characters feet quite together (not only females, but in this case seing as it's a female character, so much the better) and have their hips float a bit infron of the feet, stretching out the legs a bit. Right now having the knees bent like that, legs wide and arms also kind of far away from the body, makes her look flimsy and weak.
Feet together, arms closer to the body, lean forward a bit (not bend forward like an old lady!) and shoulders back!.. maybe a cooler pose on the fingers as well, I always turn to Lars Alexandersson from Tekken for my finger poses :P purse pose-sex right there
so much great work here! Tanyutka, love the technichal detail! and Callesw, love the character in your concept, the way it doesn't take itself too seriously and focuses more on the personality of the individual rather than detail of the suit, its easy to get carried away with a crazy suit design and forget theres someone wearing it!
Heres a couple of stills from my FYP, handed in now but still a work in progress so any feedback much appreciated. more on my thread here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1843104#post1843104

yea i totally get where your coming from, the pose isn't great... animator had a few problems with getting the rig finished in time, so i just had to use what was there, and quickly fix errors in zbrush. didn't have time myself to pose it fully.... but going to go back and change that soon, bunch of new poses and maybe some animation if he can get the rig working
I agree. It is meh. Specularity. Its completely flat right now. How about you Low poly this guy to bake some of this stuff down? Your grundge is in odd places. Like, its behind the Axe yet not on the gears at the bottom? What's up with the mirror on those cylindrical bottles? Your lighting is flatening everything out oddly enough. Your daks look very dulled out and grey.
This is very, very cool. I love how you can instantly get a 'mood' from this, and then you're left guessing which era it's possibly from, and you can't really nail what it reminds you of. Good job dude.

I'm not going to low poly because I'm a CA not a modeler. I should have waited and posted the final version. You make good notes, much of this has been fixed. As for the chrome ; I'm still playing with different materials.
I'm not sure how much spec I want as this is a semi-gloss vehicle, with matte accents. Thanks for the crit.
Trying out some new rendering methods, so decided to dig up the McLaren model. Next step is probably make a lowpoly and/or give it a post apocalyptic pass.
Broken_LawnmowerI like all those small details of cloth, straps, beads n stuff on your knight, really adds some life to it. You got a thread goin somewhere?
Andy HI love your painted metal tile, LOVE IT
I found some time to make a rough start on some cloth:
Having another go at an older piece that zbrush murdered:
-edit, found a screen of where the original was before it died.:
Originally it was a samurai dinosaur for a ga mini-comp but I lost most of it to a crash. Restarting from scratch with a sci-fi slant and fixing it into a larger idea that I've posted in my sketchbook but will eventually have a proper thread for.

Hyborian era, duh!
To start with, here's a quick marmoset render of a wip (I'd say ~80% done - still needs lots of love, a rig, etc):
Edit: and I just remembered that I forgot to give him what makes him a lantern - the ring. Fail deluxe!

Something I've been working on this a little bit in my free time (which I seem to lack recently).
Indeed!, plus is mating season for his tribe.
Some Zelda fan art... that I plan to expand upon soon.
Not happy with this...

I've tried the Zbrush polypaint tool tonight.
It was fun ^^

RHINO
I finally decided to give a proper thread to this guy :
Normal mapping fun, diffuse time now! Few issues around the face in render, but it looks correct in Maya *shrug*
Here's the thread.
It's an addon weapon designed to socket into a vehicle (post on the bottom) so the texture is 512x512 on a 1.2k mesh.
@fightpunch Rhino looks epic, cool work
@Tanyutka Very impressive and original design
@Jeremy-S looks rly promising, keep going)
