Tip 08 - Macro color variation.
From large surfaces such as landscapes to smaller objects like rock formations. World space color variation is always the key to make things look more natural and interesting. This function gets your Albedo and outputs parameters to the material instance for you to introduce any sort of color variation to the surface at any scale, using a single RGB Texture Map.

Re: Aztec.exe - A historical 360° experience
Hey everyone!
Glad you guys are enjoying our project so far. Let me add some of my character work to the mix. I was responsible for the whole pipeline from concept to production to rigging to MoCap setup. The rest of the team jumped on to help with animation in the end.
I used ZBrush and MODO for modeling, Substance for texturing and Maya together with Mixamo and Advanced Skeleton for rigging and animation:
Our motion capture setup consisted of 12 PlayStation Eye cameras. Tracking was done with iPi Soft and cleanup and additional animation were handled in Maya:

Faceware was used for facial tracking. I created a blend shape-based face rig using Jason Osipa's Stop Staring book as a reference and set up wrinkle maps inside of Unreal Engine. It was a big help in getting quality results within the very short timeframe we had for our project:

I have been playing around some more these last days. I am trying to create some tool controls that feel a bit more intuitive and "flow" a bit more if that makes any sense.
The idea is to move the mouse to the sides along with modifier keys to change values. I will add them to the main thread one I am done with them. Anyways, here's what I have:
