The Pushing Points Polystein Kit is a MODO KIT consisting of an array of custom character feature presets that can be seamlessly added to an organic model with a single click of the mouse, making character creation incredibly easy. The kit also comes with additional mesh presets that will allow you to "Frankenstein" an endless variety of characters by manually stitching components onto your mesh.

wow! this is very interesting, I cant wait to get my hands on this. Question, are there plans 
for the app to capable of importing some of your own custom meshes, and not just the presets in the video?

A couple of the testers have asked for this as well. Currently you are limited to the presets in the kit but it could be possible for users to add their own parts in the future.

It's impressive from a technical perspective, but I don't know that many would actually use it without the ability to add your own meshes.

This has been an amazing week for the Pushing Points Polystein Kit and I thought I'd do a recap to ensure no one (that's interested) missed anything.

 Now this tool looks promising. Amazing to see how a tool intended for character kitbash reutilized for something really different in the hands of a master.

The tool is really amazing. This is the tool that I've been dreaming for a long time. Do you think it is possible that Maya also can have this feature?
Getting a big shape and adding details in the shape without going to Zbrush is like super fast workflow.
I am seriously considering going back to Modo just because I can use this awesome plugin..

I see no reason why it couldnt be created for MAYA by someone familiar with creating tools for MAYA. I rig and animate in Maya from time to time but have never written tools for it.

Polystein Kit | Version 2.7 Free Update

New to version 2.7 of the Polystein Kit is the Polystein Paint options. These options enable interactive placement, scale and rotation of the preset before the auto-stitching occurs.

I only used Maya for modeling for a small bit but if you get stuck in MODO at any point just buzz me and I'll try and help.

As far as just modeling, Modo is a much better choice.
Modo is a much faster modeler with some nice tools. But the non-modeling tools aren't nearly as great, and it can be extremely difficult to get support with problems.

I think most people who use it are strictly modelers. If you are more of a generalist and need to do things like rigging/animating, I would say it's a bad choice.

What are you wanting to create?

Just studying the polyflow of the presets could be useful.

Whether you are new or seasoned with modeling this speeds up the process of adding details.

I do the same, switch between the two depends what I'm doing, but I love Modo for modeling, but I use Maya full 2016 for animation, skinning, rigging.

The only difference between the Full and LITE version is that the LITE version doesnt ship with 60 presets. All of the tools are identical.
