For anyone curious about Blender's internal game engine (so probably no-one here - lol) I created a set of five videos as a very basic introduction. They're hosted by Cris over at 3d Palace and he's just set up a Blender forum section there too. http://www.3d-palace.com/2014/08/blender-the-bunker-tutorial-set-by-gmanx/…
One thing I miss about Max, having transitioned to Blender last year, is the viewport clay mode. I believe that had something to do with a nitrous driver that Max uses? Is this something that can be implemented in Blender? Or maybe a future feature? I like the matcaps in Blender, I just really like the old Max clay. :)…
This is so odd. So what i want to do is make a Polygroup in Zbrush then export it into blender so i can Hand Unwrap it, And then Assign a SINGLE MAT to it, so when i open Substance painter ill be texturing on one material and being able to CRTL+RM to assign material easier. ISSUES are Zbrush options are "Export Polygroups…
Anybody have any tutorials on how I can get started with high-poly 'image reference' modelling in Blender? I was wondering because I saw this video and I want to model a shoe for a game, based off an img ref & in Blender. I know there's a lot of resources for Max on here, but I was wondering about Blender in particular.…
Hey all, is there anyway to have a workflow where I create the environment in Unreal and then export that environment WITH textures into Blender with all the textures attached, no hassle To then do architecture modeling, and whatnot in blender to render there for the final? So far all I see is Blender to Unreal but nothing…
I've done many bakes before and my typical workflow is to add a hardedge on UV breaks at 90 degree areas. I've done this a million times in Maya to Painter into Unity with no issues. I am just wondering is this the same workflow when baking inside of Blender? Or am i just staring at this too long and missed something…
Hello, I recently started 3D-modeling again (familiar with the concepts but other than that I'm pretty much a total beginner) and started using Blender for the modeling part. I bought the Quixel suite a while ago in the hopes it would speed up some texturing work but now that I'm trying to figure out how to use it I'm…
Hi community. I am curious wether it is possible to create with Blender games, I saw already that some people do it. My questions are: is blender alone enough to create a simple game? Something like a 2D Dungeon? If yes some of you know where to start learining it? I have some experience with blender and photoshop in…
I'm a fair hand at Maya, but I'm a full beginner with Blender, so this is probably a basic problem. I built a model in Maya, and exported it as an .obj to bring into Blender. I'm following a tut for Sims4 modding, but when I bring my object into Blender it comes in transparent. When I flip it to "solid" it's just black.…
Hello. I would like to ask you for you help. I used a lot of Maya in previous days but right now I am switching to blender. I have difficulties with getting used to blender, especially pivots, snapping and aligning. Of course I am googling and doing my own shortcuts but it is still very confusing for me. Right now I am…
