Thought I might post this since i've over the years seen this pop up. Ever had a problem with mirrored bakes in UDK not working as they should? It's Autodesks fault. It finally appeared in the 2014 3ds max help that there is a known limitation in the FBX exporter such that for a mesh to export tangents and binormals the…
Hey there! Is there a way of having motion blur on the particles in the UDK ? I get the blur on these particles when I rotate my camera etc but if I stay still there's no motion blur on them :( It seems that with a "MeshData" it is possible; but when I create particles with this MeshData thing, I can't see the particles…
Hi there. This is my first time using Mudbox, and i'm quite new to 3D modelling altogether. I created the base mesh by modifying the 'Mudbox human base mesh' inside of Maya then i sculpted the details and painted the mesh inside of Mudbox. The numbers are there because the zombie is being used as a dart board (i've still…
Yup, you guessed it, another church! :D I have a university project to make a modular environment in 3 weeks. I have chosen to do a church (Didn't realise they were so popular until after I started!) Polycount limit is 15,000. I just started using Zbrush so please go easy on me if my sculpting isn't up to scratch! :) I…
Hello chaps and chappettes! For my last year of Uni I am taking part in a team project. We will be making a level in the UDK and posting our progress on this thread. Please comment or make suggestions. The level will be a technical demonstration of the designed game and is designed to be what the game could look like.…
You can do it with whatever you like, brushes or by making it in max/maya on the grid and then sending it to UDK. UDK can also export your level to FBX, so if you make it using brushes and want to fine tune, you can use that method also.
I've been working on a science fiction scene over the holidays. And here's what I've got so far: An untextured WIP building set - seen here in the UDK test level the highpoly models for the set above I'm planning on building a small level with this style of architecture/machinery and some natural elements. Here are some…
Thnx for the comment, I will work on those changes, in maya render the normals look ok, The UDK makes them weaker, Is there any way in the UDK material editor I can slightly boost up the normals? If anyone can sujest other assets that would go with he scene and time, pls do. Thnx again for the comment :)
Hello everyone, I' m actually working on a level for the UE3 with the UDK. (I have begin this project 3 weeks ago.) I have call this project "Escape" because the player must find objects and resolved enigma to escape the place where he is. I want to make a real little game, but the UE3 is not so easy and I will try to work…
