About the design itself, pick axes dont tend to be pointy on both sides. SOME do, but honestly, it is a more boring design. Too much symmetry. One end tends to be flat. it helps with digging the loser stuff.
I think its to thin on the spikes, i think it would be to weak and break or bend.
I appreciate the feedback, but I didn't actually make the model, I just did the high poly, unwrap and textures.
And one side IS flat, you just can't see it from the side.
@ fightpunch - looking sexy..
Updated the level 2 (fence and more lightning issues)

Work is (slowly) progressing on my Cammy model... almost finished with the retopo, started doing a few test bakes. There's a couple of adjustments that need to be made but I'm pretty happy so far. Hopefully I can get the damn thing finished soon, it's already been dragging on for way too long...
The goon Kickstater is running on ! They need your help to bring this amazing film project to life !
My friend Monkey and I are working on some fan arts. Hope you like it ! KNIFE IN THE EYE !!!
I'm trying to finish up work in my site, so I'm cranking on the low poly for Square from World War Robot. Hoping to texture him like the oil paintings in the book.
Decided on the Japanese tatt, The tribal one read a bit better but I prefer this one and I think it matches her personality much more. made a few small changes to spec and stuff. Still need to work on the shoes teeth and a few other things, soften up the hairline and just improve the texture in general. I hope by Monday it will be ready for a rig, skin and pose...... maybe. Then again maybe I will take a bit of a break before that stage.
Have a good weekend evereyone.
@SirCalalot: Made some geometric shape brushes for that last painting, a lot of the texture is from flattening the image and then extreme free transform squashing/stretching. I use the trad miranda brush set quite a lot. Also funky animation, what software you making the 2D platformer in??
@VictorSantos: Thanks, the values are a bit messed up though!... maybe I'll fix it in the future. Looking forward to seeing your tank textured.
Some more stuff for my Environment concept breakdown I've been doing.
Working on the actual design of the ship. I want something much more interesting than what I did in the original painting. Going to chop this guy up into a cross section and maybe sketch some interiors.
This is the uppermost level in the cave system(the entrance), where the ship runs aground and the protagonist starts his/her journey. Bleh. :P
@dustinbrown: Thanks! was hoping the weathering looked okay, was quite funny... I came across a forum where people were posting pictures of their torches 'battlescars' lol... guess there's a place for everyone :P - made good ref for me! How much longer do you think your character is gonna take?
One more painting before sleep... think I'm beginning to get somewhere with this chaos/happy accidents business. Started to feel some resonance while painting this piece:
