Got inspired by all the awsome texture/sculpt work on the site so I decided to create one today for some practice. Sculpted in Zbrush. Rendered in Cryengine.
I took a small break from environment stuff this weekend to paint this guy
Great work on here guys!
*edit yikes that bigger than i thought, uploaded a smaller version

Haz: Holy shit man! That's awesome. Can't wait to see that in final
Romy: Dude, I am usually a character man, but my god those look fantastic. Really impressive man. You make me wanna sculpt a rock-golem
Ravenslayer: Awesome man! I was hoping to see you take that model further. Looking great.
Soooo...yeah I apologize. I know everyone's probably sick of seeing these, but too bad! I didn't find out about this challenge until really late sadly, so I might have missed the boat on this one, but I'm hoping to get a folio piece out of it at least.
pls scuse the gross mipping, still gotta bleed the egdes on my normals and alpha.
Edit: Oh yeah Raven, and this is my WIP of my 'Moba char design' for the same challenge that Rayph did concepts for. On hold for the moment while I wrap up the guild wars chick.
Nice dude! I'm liking the stylised angles, although the shape initially came across as 'melted' rather than 'quirky stylised'. I think easing the bend across the top would help reinforce this as a hard-surface object - also, the metal is reading kinda soft, like clay - some tight specular highlights and greater dark/light range could help. Loving the hand-paintedness
I left those loops there for animation so the waist and legs can bend (Somewhat how the Lego games have it set up. That isif you want it to be all cartoony and not rigid.

yup
Sci-fi business complex concept.
Some shadow issues in these shots because of floaters, but they aren't too distracting.
Screenshots of a game I'm doing the art/programming for:
Why are you using so many edges in the legs? Are you planning to do a lot of sideways deformation or something?
