some of the colors choices seem a bit unbalanced though. it might work better if you add bit more color variations/noise within the colors and some desaturated/worn out areas on the leather pieces.
hi,
been a long time lurker here and decieded to get out from the dark shadows to the daylight .
so much awesomness in this thread so guys ceep it up.
here is a few projects i'm working on my free time: kerrigan character from starcraft, ork head for animation and a fun little arch viz project.
Here is a car I've been working on for the last month.
hey great work here- and thanks for the presentation tip, I'm also working on a car model as well- this can be handy. I also like your portfolio- keep em comming :]
Fightpunch, I'm not really a mech person, but when I see a good mech, it makes me OOOh and Ahhh!
Same with Lonewolf's insance hard surface mech!! O_O Daaayyyyuuumm!
Finished the presentation pic for my lina item set.
So I think the last time I posted anything man just discovered fire anyway figured I would share what Ive been working on trying to improve my skin texturing, a reboot of my old female warrior model. F@#$@ yeah Cryengine DX11
Gratuitous amounts of awesome in here as always keep it up guys!
Love that you have the color scheme designer grab in there. I have been doing that in my texture work for a while. :-D
Concept is awesome. Gonna be high poly? Low? would love to see this with some darksiders art treatment
thats the plan my man! sorry for getting back so late, I didnt notice the reply :poly136:.
Im planning on putting little more love into the texturing and only using that color pallet. as for the workflow, ittle be high and low, its a portfolio piece after all.
Sup people, as usual this thread is filled with badass art. It's been quite a while since I posted much of anything, been working pretty hard on making some progress on my bioware comp entry.
Finally started making some progress on the armour this week, a few nights of working until 4am, so I'm gonna throw this here and catch some sleep.
I'm hoping to find a job in games; but in the meantime, I'm working as the only 3d concept design at Adidas. I never really get to show my work, but here's an outdoor running tooling I helped design which we 3d printed.
That's cool. I am in the same boat. Currently I am just doing freelance. I actually just recently did a job for adidas. Kinda cool to see some of the same thing.
First Donavonyoung's awesome sculpt and then Broadway's amazing sniper rifle. My jaw first went to the floor and then broke straight through to the cellar. Amazing job fellas!

Good luck!
That's awesome! Yeah, I was freelancing at Nike and Apple before I got the fulltime Adidas gig. Small world!
Hey nice work Jeremy. The attention to detail in the sculpt and texture looks really nice. Personally the forward facing back hair looks strange to me, but otherwise looks good. I imagine this guy relies heavily in using his arms when he moves.
some of the colors choices seem a bit unbalanced though. it might work better if you add bit more color variations/noise within the colors and some desaturated/worn out areas on the leather pieces.
Thanks MM, big fan of your work! I definitely need better color schemes for this character. It's something I need to work on. I will try to add more wear and tear to the leather vest too.

Hey guys,
I've spent too many hours in this thread, its incredibly how much inspiration you can get.
Anyway, I've decided to post again after a quite long pause.
So, here's Kel the skeleton, mascot for Tavern Games company. Kel wanted to prepare for Christmas and I just gave him a new look. Everything hand painted.
ysalex: her face looks much different from your other ones from before, because before, they all looked related, but her upper torso looks too tall to me and the curve of the ribcage where it meets the abdominals is off. should be convex not caoncave, i believe. keep going!
@Konras I love your sculpt, has a quiet kind of muted realism to it.
Working on a base mesh to do my first stylized project, in a hazardous/EL Scorcho style.
not bad, but you're going into too much detail. go back and look at haz/scorchio's stuff, and you'll see that they're far smoother and less sculpted. haz for example almost exclusively uses the move tool until the very final stages of his stuff.
anatomically she's way off... but you said stylised so i guess that gives you a free pass?

Random head from me
It can still use some finishing touches especially the background.

You need to make ivysaur and venusaur now
More progress on the car, nearly there with the body now, hopefully going to start filling in all the gaps tomorrow. (floor pan, wheel wells etc.)
