This thread is insane
I wanted to finally play with hair for first time and it is quite an adventure. I also started learning Cryengine. Does anybody knows how can I take better screen shots considering I don't have dx 11 card and how to change the perspective?
Err, ignore the space cucumber monster ... that sort of emerged from noodling around. This was more to learn more about scene composition, depth, story telling, etc.
@Disanski : you can change the value of the default camera if you go to the preference menu or something like that, i'm sorry I don't have cryengine on this computer.
Also you ca find some useful information for taking screenshot in this thread : http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=311&t=92863 I don't know if you can apply it to directx 9 though
Space cucumber with the google chrome hat. The monster design distracts but the rest of it is very well done. By the way thanks polycount for giving me something to do and nice things to look at while my father -in-law yells at his football team and the tv. Shoot me.
Trying to stop working on some men characters since it's been such a pain in the ass for me since I started doing characters,
comment and critics are more then welcome!
Trying to push simplicity with these - seeing how much detail I can leave out and still have an appealing character.
Ideally I want to have a bunch of different colored ones hanging out in a scene together a la Yoshis Story. And maybe make a few simple looping animations with em. Currently in the process of rigging. Any feedback is appreciated!
Trying to learn Unity so I took that max scene and imported it all in there. I just have the basic unity program. Anyway any suggestions would be nice.
Right, your help would be appreciated once again guys!
- I've re-drawn the text from scratch using freehand to better connect the styles of the logo.
- The positive to negative space in the area is balanced a lot more in favour of the text part.
- I've created a font type that's instantly more familiar than the kung-fu style previously in the design.
At the moment I'm 50/50 on it, as it's hard to discern how readable a sign is when you already know what it says and have been staring at it for hours.
I would ditch the custom text altogether, make the character the focus either center top or smaller on the right of the text, use a font for extreme ease of readability.
I really like you work Ulrick, nice textures. I am quite a fan of pushing diffuse textures. Nice effects of the lighting. What is your total polycount? Great job!
Dang, Ulrick, with the lighting on it, everything is really coming together nicely. I think even with it though, you've still lost a little bit of the vibrancy in the color of your rock/stone when compared to your concept. Still, amazing work!
Something I was having fun with in my spare time. Started as head sculpture, but then I decided to make it a full figure. Here´s what I´ve got so far, still very WIP:

I'm a bit late but I love that style!
Also, I recorded a timelapse, so you can all share the weirdness of working on four heads at weird angles
