Finished up my Alone Foggy Marketplace. C&C Very Welcome!
I had to close my curtains just to see anything in these very dark images.
I know I tried to C&C on this a few weeks ago, but I'm just going to reiterate:
You really need to get a helluva lot more contrast in there. As the only light sources around for miles, those lamps should be really standing out and look super bright compared to the foggy overcast background.
Some concentrated pools of intense light would do well to bring focus.
Try looking at Alan Wake for inspiration on night-time lighting:
nice one Yaron, only the cloth just feels too much loke modelled, not like wrinkled up naturally, but the hardsurface part is ace. As usual
speaking of clothing, roughing in all parts of the outfit
yeah when i opened it now after a year i was like eh, why didnt i fix the fabric parts =\, but its ok with the texture i guess
, now wheres my fuzzy mouse? O.o
just working on a real quick and simple environment project- I think I got all the general props for support and more stuff ( still brainstormin ). Now--I just gotta figure out what crazy thing to put in middle of that court :P
What's up people?! This is my first post here, so i decided to start showing the model i've made as my final project for the Art Module of my Game Development course. A called it "The Old Boxer". Take a look!
I had to send it like this because didn't have enough time to do more in this. I'll still work on it, mostly cause it got an error when i tried to make the Normal Map. If someone could give me a clue about make Normal Maps on Zbrush, i'd enjoy a lot!
Available for free HERE to anyone willing to try out a new rig. I'm updating the textures at the moment so if you would like them when they are finished just send me a PM or email and I'll be sure to let you know when it is updated. I would love to hear some feedback about my rig and see some kick-ass animations. Let me know any suggestions, questions or problems you have with it so far so I can update it or at the very least make my next rig even better.
@Guedin- thanks man! I like the chick you've been working on, especially the strip of face paint, idk what it is but that appeals to me the most
Small update, as Dan! suggested, trying to make her face cutier. I've never done a cute face before, mainly mature faces so this is a bit challenging for me
Guedin: yo lady is coming out so awesome!
Lonewolf: man tons of sick work, hawken looks amazing!
Mashru: Baller, always dig your work!
Neox: Can't wait to see him all finished!
I wanted to try and do a dude sculpt since it's been a while :poly122:
So I took a little time and attempted to do Spike from Cowboy Bebop, but I couldn't for the life of me get the final image to look how i imagined haha.
But I did a timelapse of it anyway, if anyone's interested

I like it, my only beef is that he looks waay too young, and quite feminine, might want to age him a little bit more.
This is a great thread, love the variety of work posted. Here is an alien bust I did recently, decimated in ZBrush then rendered in 3ds Max with Mental Ray.
Thought it was a vampire at first glance. I like this one. I can't tell if he's sad or about to eat my liver. Or both!
quick 20 min sketching some other weapon set ideas to have a bank to start from before fleshing out every weapon type. Crystals & gold are credited towards a TL2 mod community member who said they like crystals and gold
I've finished my Jeep and for the first time put a model into UDK
I can even drive with it, although it's sideways, but that's just changing some data. Thanks to a great totorial on youtube from 1976Bukkits! Thanks man..
Comments are really welcome! The model has a tricount of around 5000 and a 1024x1024 Diffuse, normal and specular map.

very cool thanks! ...your timelaps are always a pleasure to watch - i like the masking and extract tip - very nice
...awesome work of course lonewolf and mashru ..all this hawken stuff is so good
TeriyakiStyle - lovin the stuff you are doing lately ...more would also love to see a timelaps from the creation process
Nice texture work! main crits are that you have some very black shadows between the floorboards; and also that the bed frame might be a bit too thick, which can mess with the scale of things.
It looks like a sand desert that is some how eroded, which, as far as I know, doesn't really happen in real life. Sand deserts are formed by wind since they don't receive much rain.
Non-sand terrains are shaped by erosion though.
Other then that lovely work man. How did you do the panorama?

Some crappy mental ray skin test... need a spec map on that shiz.
This looks great! Though I agree about the bed frame and floor boards.
