Thanks guys! I made the shader effects just for fun but now Im thinking i put them in the game as unlock able Mutators. Maybe the Scatter FX more like paint, somehow the textures blurry in the distance too. Also a earthquake fx where everything is very bumpy shaking in the distance could be cool.
So I have been too long of a lurker, and I let my skills get soggy and weak. Getting myself back up to par though. I always have bumps on my sculpts though. Does anyone else get these bumps? How do you guys deal with them? I cant seem to sculpt a smooth surface for the life of me.
Dunno about Sculptris, but if it was ZBrush, I'd say start with the larger changes on a lower subdivision level.
A little something I have been working on! The tracks and bullet belt are the low poly I am just going to make a piece of both to bake from. Also plan to add details from NDo2!
Some sick stuff occurs here in the wee hours of the morning!
Here's a concept I just finished thats a springboard off another concept from the Arenanet art test I never finished. Rather than throw everything away that I had gotten done I figured since the test is over I'll change up the concept a little and finish the model!
I'm finally able to get back to this model, its been staring at me and I've been dying to get back to it
Just a teaser paint over for now, in the middle of reassessing what I've got and moving from there. You can follow the thread here, along with my apology for letting it die
How did you make the design on the cover? Looks really nice.
Thanks!
I used ornament and leather textures from CGTextures.com. For the 2 ornaments up and down i used texture just for reference.
I modeled with bezier curves and baked to normal map, the middle one i just put straight to textures.
Sorry, it's really difficult to break down my process on texturing because i do lots of experimenting while at it.
I should record a video sometime or something.

Getting close to finishing this scene, need to give the city/sand a bit of loving and improve the lighting.
