Hey guys, I'm newbie and would be great receive some feedbacks.
This is a desert village that I've being working on it.
I'm trying to define the arch and textures first, then I'll go to environment.
I would like to go more for a cartoon visual language, but it's looking like too much monochromatic.
Not game art related but what the hell, I had fun making it.
My girlfriend wants an english bulldog puppy really bad (but we live in the city where its kinda cruel to have a dog so it's a no no for now) and since I wanted to do a few tests with Vray Fur anyway I decided to model a part of our living room with our future/virtual dog wich she insists on naming Fonzy...
My gf saw this when I saw scrolling through the forums. She loves it! Probably for the same reason your gf would... a bulldog. She's a bulldog maniac...at least until she got one. I would advise against as would she. Health problems, breathing problems, loud snoring, VERY VERY STUBBORN, constant farting, potentially destructive nature (already lost one intuos 4 to her bulldog). The vet costs will be in the hundreds of dollars over time. Best just to enjoy the bulldog look from afar, its not worth it to own one in my opinion. Her dad ended up adopting the thing since he exhibits most of the same problems as the bulldog in his old age. lol
She got a min pin and now couldnt be happier as they are healthy, cute and quite smart.
This is fan art of one the greatest Marvel's greatest villains Thanos!
Most of the bits are done just need finish somethings up and refine him a bit more then bring him to life!!
I'am very well aware of the health problems they have, that's why I was against having one in the first place. And for your girlfriend's dad having the same issues did you mean the constant farting?
My dog used to be scared of his own farts
Anyway I will end up having a kid instead , that farts is very very stubborn ,will cost me thousands of dollars ( euros actually) and call me an asshole when he becomes a teenager.
Something I´ve been having fun with in spare time:
It´s 2718 tris so far - I´m not going for super-lowpoly model, just having fun (I can optimize later). The texture is still in progress and I also need to model the machine-gun for him. If there´s enough time I´d like to make a full set of Oddworld characters.
Great start!! But I would suggest gathering some ref on sniper rifles, in terms of how long they are, trigger and stock placement and so on then lay it over your rifle asset this will make it feel more real over all even fictional weapons have a grounding in the real world.
I made a super lowpoly one 5 or so years ago *barf*. The only things that bug me are the legs. Too many soft and round shapes, and there's a little engine complete with exhaust pipes hanging off the back. REF

Picture's actually pretty cool. I'm gonna save that to my inspiration folder, game art or not.
Another day, another generic and unfinished human head sculpt from me.
At least this one has hair!
No refs used at all, for the sculpt or texture and just a rough polypaint.
People often ask me about the texture on these sculpts I do, so I figured I show an unshaded + matcap only so you can see what is texture, and what is sculpt.
I like the colours, is that your colour palette on her lower neck?
edit/ BTW I can see some similarities to Peggy from Mad Men on this girl. Good style.
Just did a quick polypainting mock up for him.... still much more to do!
Hey men. First of all I may deeply apoligize and excuse myself I do not meen to be rude. But I do not know if you wanted the villain to look that way....and I thought maybe be you were very close to your canvas and lost signt of proportion. I made this paint over and I hope it helps you. I do not mean to offend you.

You want more variation into it? Then put more variation into it
Is the ground going to be grass or sand? Add some darker green/brown to the bottom areas so the buildings will blend better with ground.
Maybe add some darker areas to the crevises of the bricks.
Try adding more visual interest to the walls, metal plates? Flags?
Watched a tutorial i found here in the pc wiki. Did not follow it 100%, i did follow it more or less exactly first time but this is the second time and did do it from what i remember and some tweaks here and there.
Have not done so much hand painted textures so i wonder what you think about it? :poly121:

Hey Tagobarantino! I have to say that I REALLY think his original proportions were MUCH better. You've stretched Thanos out and it not only doesn't look "good" but it doesn't look like the character should. Thanos has that really thick, unrealistic proportion in every rendition I've seen of him.
IronMonkey: Nice Thanos! I think the bicep is reading a bit weird, tho I'd have to see more angles to be sure. Also, I think you've done great with the face in the front view, but it looks very flat in the 3/4. Push and pull those face forms to give him a little more depth and character.

Cool bus man, really nice.
Only crit I have is put some more love into the window wipers. And if you feel up to it.. make a nice beach scene for it.

And even managed to add the shots to my website, so I'll call it a night.
Experimenting with SSS for the 1st time
It's at 27k tris right now, too high ? I was considering simplifying the tracks, to bring the triscount down.
