snefer - looking good, Im not a fan of the floating flowers on top of the clock, seems like they should wrap around the shape instead of floating and sticking out.
I've been working on improving my speed for hand-painted textures. This one I did in 70% of my usual timeline. It's a little more rough around the edges than my usual fare, but it came out better than I expected.
Note that I did NOT make this model, it comes with the game OpenArena. The SDK for it was posted on Polycount at some point. You'll have to ignore the arms clipping through the legs, haha. That's just the base pose the model came in.
For those who play OpenArena, you can download it here:

It comes with PSD files as well, because that's a requirement for OpenArena assets, custom or not.
Really nice texture work, Demonprincess. My crits would be that the spider butt could use some more volume, right now it's kind of black white a soft highlight. Some subtle underlighting and other details could make it a lot more interesting. Also the hair has the same values from top to bottom, you could get some more mileage out of making the top a bit brighter overall and slightly darkening the longer it gets, and even some more area specific specular highlights.
My little game project is nearly finished. Graphics are pretty much done, just sound work, difficulty balancing and bug fixing from now on...
I'm aiming to release it on pc before july, but let's see. After that's done I'll start working on iOS port.
new shot of my adviser character. This time with shininess Specs are getting close to being done still tweaking them at the moment let me know what you think.

Thanks for the feedback! Since this was a quicky, I'll leave it as is, but I'll definitely keep it in mind for future textures. I had a lot of trouble especially coming up with the spider body, I'm not well-versed in monster stuff at all. I seriously need to start practicing with that instead of doing pretty girls all the time! :poly136:
dpeteuil - Nice!
ngs616 - Arent those a tad too many colors and too many details at the same time?
JFletcher - Thats one sweet looking girl! Looks a bit like the one from Game of Thrones. Like it!
yes I have! I was trying to see how I could build stuff in Cryengine really, I do plan to make it my own textures. I was wondering when someone would call me out on that.
JFletcher - Thanks! These shots are from marmoset, though I'm hoping to experiment with UDK or something else. also, you have some pretty awesome characters!

Some more clock!
You're a beast. Is that all in Modo?
Ged: you are correct about that, they are placeholders for another kind of flower I will put there : )

I also thought that Skyrim robe was the best looking clothing I've ever seen in Skyrim

Looking awesome Tor! Nicer Render too. Are you just making this as a singular HP prop or going to flesh it out further?
Still got some cleaning up to do, various bits and bobs and maybe finish the wolf if I feel like it

Someone's been watching Hourences' tutorials?
Just something gross I came up with tonight while skyping w/ other polycounters.
impressive!!! love the mood... nice concept
Here's a sculpt practice. Started as a sketch, but decided to refine a bit more.
The skulking sanctuary deep within the lair of the lunar mastermind:
Rendered real-time in UDK. There is a lot more to it then what appears at first glance.
Shameless xpost from my tutorial thread:
Looks great! is that in an engine or max viewport /w xoliul's shader or something?

It runs MUCH better on my pc than BF3 does on low.
Getting close to actually finishing this
Just a 3 hour sculpt I did a couple of nights ago. Will be giving her hair and clothing when I find some time to set aside for sculpting.
