Havnt posted here in a long time, but here is something i have been working on, still got some minor polish to do and some fixes i want to get in, but most of it is there.
Its based on a concept art i dug out in my old inspirationsfolder, but i cant find the name of the creator.

Ilve been working on an idea for a new character and possibly a series of characters. Sort of a saturday morning cartoon meets a River city ransom/scott pilgrim brawler.
Oh and he has a T rex for an arm. The sculpt is still a little messy but any crits and critiques are welcome and appreciated early on : )
I made some more animation things plus some updates to the old stuff. And I just want to send a big thank you to everyone who gave me such good feedback.
Think I'm going to go the "Mystical Standing Stones" route, if only because it's for a school assignment due Thursday. Still a LOT to do until then.

Just one question - is this supposed to be at night?
As the lighting is very warm like sunlight, but I get the feeling that it should be more blue/white with a sky like that.

You know, originally it was going to be a daylight scene, but then I realized how much I adore stars, and purple glow. So now, it's a mystical time of day. Which is a total cop-out, so I'll play around with the color tones tomorrow. I had just grown attached to the terrain being lit that way, and got stuck in a comfort zone.
I made some more animation things plus some updates to the old stuff. And I just want to send a big thank you to everyone who gave me such good feedback.

The animations are looking good but I have a slight problem with the walk animation. I feel like he should be extending his legs. At the moment it looks like he is struggling to walk. His head is almost at the same height all the way through, i believe it should be going up and down more because of him moving forward.
So i started drinking and this happened lol this is Mr. Chubby look at the majestic base mesh made of broken zspheres haha aw man that base mesh could be a creature of its own

Thats a nice setup and a good start! Put some time and love into those art assets and fill add some variation to the ground, an overall picture is nice but without the detail to support it, its easy for it to fall flat.
Just something I've been working on over the last week and a bit - based on a concept from Deus Ex - HR . Still lots of placeholder textures and props (look at them repeating banners/adverts! )... but I should start replacing those soon . Lots to do still so hoping to get through my task list soon so I can start finalising work.
I just finished some little RTS human dudes too. They are all built from the same mesh and have the same UVs, so it's easy to switch up textures between them.

Good animations, although I think in a "walk" one his waist is in same Y axis the whole time, so there is not much movement going up and down.
Mark Dygert: Yeah, I realised that as I was making the chest plate. Need to pay closer attention to what's more prominent and how much texture space it's given. Thanks!
Those are looking awesome, the idle is definitely working a lot better now. I agree with the others about the walk/waist movement in Y.
Also, in the walk, is it looping back to the same frame (first frame and final frame identical)? It looks like there is the tiniest pause where the start and end keys meet. If they are, probably just want to remove the final frame.
Nice job on the animations. This one however, I feel is a bit too mechanical for a living creature. The way he goes back into the original state, it feels too much like a machine, turns his head back and then sort of bends back down. Broken into steps, I feel like it should be more fluid .

I really like the lego games and have been inspired to make a game that fits their style so I have decided to try and make Lego Bioshock!

Lovin' it, but dude why did you add rimlight all around the edges ? it looks weird, I would restrict it to one side.

Although it isn't 3d it will be hopefully the logo to my portfolio website , if it looks good it will be my own personal coat of arms and logo.

The only thing that bugs me is the pixel density is a bit off in some areas. Ribbon hanging from the shoulder is a lot sharper than the chest plate.
