Witcher silver sword I made this week for a competition, displayed using the 3Point Shader. Shader settings aren't final yet and still want to make a few tweaks, but I guess that's what this thread is for I placed it inside of Skyrim at an earlier stage (shot below) Working with nif's is a bit of a chore so shader settings aren't final there yet either
@Massbot and Callesw thanks guys! This guy has been so much fun to work on. I typically get about 75% done with a model and stop for some reason, and with this guy it never happened
fricken hawtness. good job mang! the final product looks amazing! distribution of uvs space needs some work though! some places liek the back of the head dont need so much uv space. XD
Wow, very nice artwork to all you guys, I am just getting into Z brush and i def love it, but besides being a traditional and digital 2d artist, i also take 3d to the next level and actually build the weapons and armor to wear, here is a pic of the chaoseater and the armor that "War" wore in the game darksiders that i made a lil while back:
Here is one of my 2D art pieces
This was a concept art piece i did for a character in a movie, the film never got the backing they needed to get it off the ground tho.
The stoner / bloodshot eye creeps me out - and some other elements like the bony fingers and the creepy toes too. But man, seriously Overall I love this piece, especially that hungry bum - look at how its chewing those tiny shorts up!! Sensational!
thank you for your critique guys! i will try to fix all that i can
creepy eyes - its my default zbrush eyes matcap (that i use for monsters too %) ), so don't look at it.
fix toes and fingers not a problem, but what to do with the face... hmm

Eight, you and your uv's man. Body is this time much cleaner, but you should still work on that, you gun could totally work with half the texturespace if you wouldn't have it going diagonal over your square map :O
Some new experimenting with my Dungeon Corridor environment in UDK.
Still lot to fix, smoothing groups and texture seams mostly, but the tiling and scale is much better now. Baby steps..
didn't work on slash this weekend but couldn't stay away from the computer for two whole days....I am that sad....anyway, started this, might LP it later in the week, trying to get the Brink feel and asthetic.

thanks for looking
probably needs more skin/pore detail to properly fit Brink, but it's very cool all the same.
The eyes are way huge, and the mouth area and especially the maxilla is looking a bit too flat. You have some nice subtlety going on, especially in the cheekbone area, but watch your plane changes. Make sure to nail that before you go into specific features and details.
Still, a pretty good job for your first model. Keep doing these, preferably one a day, and you'll get great. But remember to do full bodies and limbs too once in a while. Heads are fun to do, but only in cinematics will you be able to land a job doing only a character's face.
piece inspired by Spanish Windmills and Italian landscapes, will render it out as my first finished 2d piece soon:P
That's really awesome! You've done a great job with the shadows showing the light source. Do you plan to keep going with this and add as much detail to the rest of the image as the house? I'd really like to see it progress further
