I sort of want to texture this, but I'm probably just going to call it done and move on to a full character. Definitely need to start filling out the portfolio with more finished works.
piece inspired by Spanish Windmills and Italian landscapes, will render it out as my first finished 2d piece soon:P
Really nice work here elementrix! Makes me wanna model that environment..
And it reminds me of Asterix & Obelix.. which made me wonder, is your name just coincidence in this case
So I got more done on my character... I though I would show my painting process, its rather hard for me because I am color blind, so it probably took a lot longer then it needed too. But I think its good. It looks a little read because the material under the paint
Not had much time to work on my scene over the last week or so but ive managed to make some progress on the Mezzanine area and made a few material tweaks here and there. Not sure its worthy of a post but hey, throwin it out there.
Originally my first next-gen character ever from last year. Due to certain life issues I never ever finished :P
I'm hoping to finally finish it. Still figuring out which method of doing the hair would be best, I thought of trying to do it similar to how they did Triss Merigold's hair from The Witcher 2, but I think I'll move onto the armour rather.
The shoulder muscles look a bit weird, placed to low, in front of the joint (maybe intended), and the eye in the chest is placed to much to the left. The torso should maybe have some more volume, the eye make it look flat.
The shade of the perimeter on the left arm makes it look transparent, especially to the left, I am expecting light to shine through it, especially with the shades of red and black in the center of the lower arm. The shade to the left should be the same as the torso. I am not sure.
A guitar I made for my Uni group's first art challenge. Sort of inspired by Willie Nelson's guitar, Trigger.
Only two of us did the challenge in the end...
I figured it didn't really belong in the lowpoly thread but I'd posted some of the models there a little while back. I did most of the characters, some props, a bit of environment stuff, and of course this very, very exciting trailer.
Daphz, those are ace! Scott - Beautiful atmosphere already, looking forward to more!
I'm well below budget, but for now I'm not sure what I want to add.
Any suggestions? I'll probably have a better Idea of what it needs after I texture it.
Skudz, sorry man, I only just saw your post, yeah I get what you mean with the pore detail, I went way too light with it looking back...I will see what I can do about that innit
first round of bakes done and slapped together...needs some love to get it looking half decent though
