gonna do that side now, (most imported one) and see about the rest later
not sure ill model everything on that piece, you wont see half of it but well see..
might will if its gonna be easy
Lonewolf, do you have a bump/noise map on the rough parts of the model (plastic parts on the floating rail)? Does this mean that you've mapped the UV's of the high poly?

not sure what parts u mean but yea i got some bumps on random parts here
I literally can't understand how you can get that much flawless detail in your models.
not sure about flawless cause im guessing proportion on most of the parts here
im sure if ill overlay it with the real parts ill be off
but i guess it looks convincing enough huh?
sorry for the lack of updates, been busy with some work,
I think ill pass on the flashlight and just go for the low poly
i think the best way is to separate all the detachable parts and give them separate textures, maybe 2K for rifle and 2K for parts
That way i can have good count of polys for each part too, if its too high i can take off a part. but it doesnt really matter since it just a portfolio piece
Really nice modeling. One thing bothers me though. That you have mixed Eotech and Aimpoint brand. Two competitors=). Maybe people actually does mix and match but i thought that those werent made to be used together. But im not 100% sure..
The brand mixing bothered me too at first, but when you think of it a second time - the mount and scope could easily be produced by separate manufacturers and used together. However, the "EOTech" brand etched on the scope mount could be ommitted. Most manufacturers don't brand their mounts. Or at least I haven't seen any scope rings with brands on visible places.
It is odd to mix an aimpoint 3x magnifier with an EOtech fts mount. And yes they are compatible, as most sight and scope mounts are a standard size. I've used the scope rings from my own red dot to mount my rifle scope. (the mounts the scope came with were weever instead of pictanny)
And the branding on that mount is accurate for the most part:

so im going back to work on the flip mount, i didnt make it flipable but now that i think of it u can have magnifier and not use it
so im gonna have to make it flip

just a quick planner (X) uv, nothing serious
brown plastic parts has just noise bump
Can we see wires for the underside of the back scope? The part that flips up, that's connected to the spring.

Can't wait to see what comes next
One thing though! Maybe this ahs been mentioned before, but your portofolio website has a next button but not a back button.
I mean sure, you can go up to the "weapons" tab again, but still, maybe a back button would ease the navigation through your site
Love your modeling, its so clean and amazing details
