Center pylon & details still untextured but got the rest done. Textures will still get a final levels/color balance adjustments pass before being marked off.
and yes. the trigger pull on the forward trigger (which is for the enfield revolver component) would be shit and sorry about your sight picture, bro. but the challenge for me was to mate two guns while still giving proper clearance for internals and operations (see Nixon's "Slammer" in Darrow and Miller's Hard Boiled)--it was too much fun to do something this dumb.
couple things:
1) is there a way to check for n-sided polys or n-gons in max, i know in maya there is a way you can highlight them through the menus + options, is there a way in max ?
2) i was looking through the very nice polycount wiki and took a gander at the mount & blade modular piece article, and i ask the question, how did she (i think?) get the textures exactly right? and what i mean by that is she used tillable textures but they had those seam darker bits down the almost right side, but yet they are perfectly positioned on the poly, so shouldnt there be that little bit left over :S
anyone care to explain or yell at me for not explaining properly
3) anyone have any ideas on how to textures this beast, all on one map or tile texture, mixed? any help would be great
so i still have a little ways to go with this beast, still more windows and another chunk of building at the back to add, also opinions on the very top piece with the 3 windows, anyone think it still looks boring, i think i might add another window at the back of the model for the top, add the bell soon aswell
This is what I am currently working on. It only has a basic color coat and I still have some details like spikes, materials and hair I need to add, but I wanted to get some feedback on the color. I was also considering goin with a blue/gray tint on the front head of the character. What do you all think? Any ideas on the type of material to add to the tenticles? :poly124:

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! Nice work man! How much farther you planing on pushing the texture? If anything they might could use a tad more color variation maybe darker tones on those plates? Wraps turned out nice, definitely breaks it up. Those nipples busting out fuckin kill me. Looking killer bro..... waa waaaaaaa
A lot better, try not to over do it, give it some rest, study more and save this as separate file so when you try new stuff it won't get destroyed and you can always go back.
i think you could pull back on the details- a little less is more appoach. Also watch where your tension points flow from and to-I did a slight PO to illustrate where I would start with this. Hope I'm helping.
My sculpt so far, everything still needs working into pretty much but I got some hard surface work planned all over the place to break up the silhouette aswell.
scudz you always take the cake for absurd proportions. Lovin it.
(although the transition from giant collar to tiny head is a touch jarring. There's probably some design tweak you can make to make the head seem a bit more attached)
hahaha! Just for you Gir, and because I happen to have a worm head readily available
Aesir: I probably went a little to far with it, but that's the approx proportions (which change dramatically from panel to panel) from the comic ([ame="http://www.amazon.ca/Umbrella-Academy-1-Gerard-Way/dp/1593079788"]Umbrella Academy[/ame]) It's a Gorilla body that his head has been grafted onto.

Logged in just to say. Keep the worm. The piece went to oooooooooooooooooooooh myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy goooooooooood *14 year old girl shriek* with it.
Everything came together in a nice awesome epic hardcore harmony with the worm and the "new" piece will crumble mountains under it's awesomeness.
EDIT: Ah I saw that you did a tribute piece. Well. Maybe not have the worm then

Damn, which shield from WW should I go by? Mirror or Hero's....
I also love the space station Josh, it has a great old school feel to it.

Yep! It's for the BSG mod I work on.
When you've finished this, I want to make a print of it!

"Yo dawg! I heard you like guns, so we put a gun in your gun so you can shoot while you shoot."
Success? :nerd:
Very nice. What are your texture/poly budgets like?

I suck at doing cracks and stuff O_o.. lots to do on it .
little more on this... not too sure about the colours on the news stand itself.

Just upgraded comp, found this while transferring over files :smokin:
Sorry, but *please* finish that. You'll probably get kotaku'd if you do that :P
@DrillerKiller - ooh I like how you presented that creature, give us more!
Bit more work on this.
