Skillmister- the feet seem way too small, and the hands too. The breasts look like gravity is not affecting them
the face looks kinda alien - check proportions, I think the eyes need to be lower.
the pose seems kinda awkward, the arms are swung backwards to far I think. Or maybe it is the curve of her back that accentuates this

Thanks I've spent so much time on this so far i cant see whats wrong anymore.
Nick Carver- WHOAH. that game is lookin great. and super fun! do want. Massbot-awesome concept dood. lots of character. nice execution of a paint over. Famouz- lookin good so far. you 3 hours is a bit much though just my opinion.
probably the pores took up alot of time?
I'm doing a small bust in flat / hand paint textures to warm up for the DW . I'll just make shoulder pads and a sort of pedestal under with that. (feedback welcome :] ).
very cool bust ithoual! the textures look great!
i would say though that the proportions of the face are a bit too human in my opinion. i would bring out that jaw more. give him a bigger underbite. and a larger crued nose. make him loke more orc!
also, I have to agree with BetelGeist on this one ithoual, while your work is *clearly* super awesome and you can do the painterly look no problem, your thrall is looking really human. Pretty sure its the jaw and eyes

awesome
give him a shoulders and welcome to the WoW torsos club
yeah and feedback, as someone said above, facial features are too human-like, try increasing the gap between upper lip and nose, that'd give him more orcish look
Mental Radiation! That is awesome. It would fit right in my scene that I am currently working on, which is an early 1900s-esque building/street.
Here it is, with updated textures. This building is made from 2 1024x1024 maps and is modular in its construction. Going to add loads of props to make it look a little less flat now!
Check out my portfolio thread in my sig for more information about it.
still slowly plodding on this mech. the missle pod is mostly textured, the cannon just got to lowpoly and maps, the rest is still in progress high poly, and the darker areas in the torso are just block in ref.
PogoP - like it. Has a nice soft feel to it. Are you going to try anything to add depth to the windows?
Ithoual - that scalemail is pretty tits.
Reverenddevil - I like how the composition lines lead to the bridge, but I think the bright skylight kind of steals the focus. Perhaps tweak the brightness of the sky and the flames a bit?
PogoP - That is looking really nice, excited to see it when you dress it with the props.
And I am loving all the hand painted WoW inspired busts!
felipefrango - Really like the style you have with that piece, only things that seems off on initial perusal would be the mustache which is popping a little and the texturing on the pants which looks a little too uniform still.
Here is an update on the Maschinen Krieger SAF I have been working on in between some other projects, currently the head is a place holder from an old speed sculpt.
Still have to tweak some curves and general proportion stuff based on my reference material and then taking it into zbrush for the details.
Looking forward to texturing it.
Still working on Cain... Haven't gotten that far though:
Getting good reference images from all sides was a major problem and I was missing a crucial one till
yesterday so I had to fix some major scaling errors I made while I was missing the Picture.
I'm seriously thinking about getting him Laser Sinthered once I'm done with him.
Need reference? TRY THIS GUY! AMAZING! He built his own Cain robot bit by bit.
Here is another update to my scene..Got a lot of good feedback from everyone here. Thanks for the compliments guys. once again if anything stands out please let me know or just punch me in the face..
felipe:
truly awesome, I love the stylisation. nice materials too.
my only crit is that the whites are too vivid, especially on the boots. they draw the eye downwards away from the face. perhaps darken a bit or make it look more worn.
prophecies:
lovely design! very unique
makkon:
very nice, I look forward to seeing it textured
organizedchaos:
very sinister and menacing, I love the double jaw although it took me a while to notice it - perhaps differentiate the outer jaw from the inner a bit?
reverenddevil:
amazing. really nice lighting, although it seems to me there should be some more distinct shadows under the bridge? the direct light source implied by the god rays seems to be contradicted by the lack of distinct shadows
mutatedjellyfish:
nice style, very cartoonish! but I agree, it could use some lighting work!

You mean the metal boot tip and the spurs? Cause if so I haven't even started on those yet so there's only a light grey base color. Of course, if you meant something else feel free to elaborate.
Looks fantastic ofc, but one thing sticks out to me. Compared to the rest of the piece, the pillars in the middle at the bottom almost look like they have wireframes on b/c of the detailing. The rest of the piece has this smokey, natural look, and they stick out a little bit. Maybe you could blur that line a little more, or perhaps you just disagree. Really cool work.
This is awesome, I love the style. Would lower the shoulders a bit if anything, but it looks great. Any plans on making it low poly?
Thanks. Glad you like it. I'll try lowering the shoulders to see how he looks. No plans to Low poly it as such, but I do plan to use this model for an illustration project I have planned.
Great gun slinger btw. Really nice style and expression...trouble is...He has no guns.
confracto:
Isn't that Cannon a Gauss Rifle from the BattleTech Universe?
I believe I've seen it in the 1995 MechWarrior 2 Manual with all the other Weapons.
( brings back good old memories >__< )
mrrogers:
I prefer to use the Original as the reference and not a Copy of it.
Still an amazing piece of craftsmanship ( even though it has it's errors )
Mongrelman:
I always wanted one of the the original Stop Motion Models!
Have recently seen one sold on an Auction for 44,250.00 USD!
( *sob* back to modelling... )
Last time I'm gonna post this! Made the windows more modular, so you can adjust them to break up repetitiveness. You also have the choice between curtains drawn or curtains open. I'm too kind!
Next time I post a shot, it's going to have plenty more props in it

no, actually, it's the lbx autocannon. so close!
I was flipping through reading some rules, decided to make something simple.
thought it looked pretty cool and tacked it on the mech to see what it would look like.

What I have isn't game specific, but I thought I'd post it anyway to show that I'm still modeling.
Ithoual
Cool and welcome to the club
I'm still working on this... Texture is a wip. I still need to UV and texture the inside too... Ignore the window color.

Lil sword I'm working on:
I'm loving thissssss
Am I...am I supposed to sculpt the penis? Awesome work!
no really, put more emphasis on it, right now it doesn't look realistic at all, go "balls" out
Just a test in doing frame-by-frame animation for my gradfilm. Little 12 frame thing done completely digitally.
http://vimeo.com/20801606
some of the animators are working on paper for this gradfilm - The hope is this digital stuff'll integrate with scanned pencil animation.
Also yes, GIMP's pretty good at traditional frame-by-frame - Who would have thought?
some toodee from me- amphi/reptilian sword fodder

Finally updated this old fella. More pics on dedicated thread. I'd love some harsh crits too, if possible.
Still a WIP, but it's getting there! The horn crossguard is just a flat color right now. Haven't gotten to texturing that yet.

Dan!: I'm an instant fan!
confracto: That's just effing cool
There's so much awesome in this thread that I feel completely sheepish to even post this. But no one posts in the other thread anymore...
Based off of my earlier concept

i love it, this wip very interest me ^^, i follow this to close .
This is just a little zsketch I did to get back into the groove of doing stuff outside of work. Posting to keep myself motivated
A little something I threw together this weekend. Mostly a texture showcase. 100% hand-painted, stylized, etc etc. Built in UDK.
Edit: Yeesh, reeeallly need to work on some lighting exercises.
Awsome job, man! This char has a wonderful stylization, I love it.

lol I did make a revolver but haven't started on the texture yet.
Some progress on whatever this guy is.
