Finally... I managed to get the Torso and the Head of Cain done. They both took an incredible amount of time -_-
I had to take some artistic freedom with the internal superstructure since I'm going to get him Laser Sinthered and I probably gonna need mass to hold it all together.
Now moving on to the Arms. Now which one should I do first of them four...
truedeja - fantastic renders and great sculpts, graduation photo is great.
Monolith - very clean lines, great work so far and lots of fun watching it slowly build up with more and more mass to it, was it Cain that had the opening hatch on the front with the little johnny 5 arm to grab the drug they used? I remember how cool that was haha.
Here's an update on my current WIP. Got the low res done and baked down. Just polypaints baked down for diffuse for now, with a five minute spec map. He's about 11k tris, with a 1024 map.

Hboybowen:
I'm not really good in doing a time lapse of my work especially not since I believe they would bring up more questions than answers like:
"How the fuck was he rotating, moving AND panning the Viewport at the same time with his cursor beeing offscreen selecting Tools!?"
The only Idea I can give would be:
Try to keep your Mesh in Quads - Especially near edges and around corners.
Experiment with cuts and how they look in TurboSmoothed Level 1, 2 & 3
Have Snickers and Nespresso at hand, lots of em...
needs glue:
Yep, that was Cain. Though the "little Johnny 5 Arm" was actually the larger one he used to catch the Nuke Container Lewis threw towards him [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMLbtu2mfTw&t=8m24s]@ 8min 23sec[/ame]
The smaller "Pincer Arm" was then used to insert the Container into the... uh... Food Processor? xD
HntrLuc: That's some quality baking right there buddy! The one thing that kind of bugs me is the rigid look of the rope around his waste. Looks a bit unnatural imho.
CJE - thanks, its based on a race for a book series "Mistborn". Other than that i pretty much jumped straight into sculpting and did paintovers here and there to figure his loincloth and weapon straps out.
maph - thanks man. I'm not 100% happy with the waist rope yet either. hopefully i can bring the quality up a bit with a few extra polys, rebake, and textures. otherwise it seemed like the best option (i didn't want to have a bunch of messy mesh intersections when it came to rigging)
aight so after getting my new rig I decided to re-texture this thing as it was kinda shit before. I'm a lot happier with this texture, still WIP and the diffuse is in the spec slot
Been working quite some bit of the half track today, managed to get most of the front suspension done and the main body parts. Only the cases on the side and the bottom plating left, then it's on to the outside details and interior
About 80% complete, few more parts to add, a few more cuts in the panels to do, and a general tidy up of a few wibbles here and there. Penis avatar for anyone who can guess what model of bike it is......

Legend: Hey thanks bro! I wasn't really doing it for much except to improve my texturing skill and finally get a decent portfolio piece. And that is actually not a bad idea, I might have to do that now lol

If I were you I would, you could make something really great with the UDK. Cities, especially at night are really awesome with the UDK thanks to the new DX11 reflections which make things like headlights have long streaks like in real life.

so since i was rendering stuff i rendered off a head i did for a personal project.
and also this one is the monster from before, i just couldn't help myself!!!!
TDub: love the stuff, looks great.

I think I'm actually in love with this. I fapped seven times already over it.
I would have made it eight, but I ran out of jam.

truedeja - sweet sculpts!
monolith - some really nice and clean modeling

Looking cool man, is this based on a concept?
monolith: clean work, and i really like the design. ill be keeping an eye on that
some crap from me, still super wip. first experience with folds but everything is super rough. inspired by daphz's spacebro

But I could find the Tutorials that started me doing SubD Modelling.
Tutorial 1: Basic understanding how MeshSmooth/TurboSmooth works
Tutorial 2: Putting it into action and maybe learn some tricks along the way

I'm not sure how to progress; It still doesn't look right to me. The leather looks like choclate cake . Does anyone have any suggestions?

Uly: Absolutely gorgeous!
Another quicky.

Here's a character I've been working on, don't do alot of zbrush or character work so it's been fun.. Oh and I used arshlevon base mesh. Love it.

I'm considering this the final. three 2048 by 2048 maps, diff, spec, normal. 4028 triangles displayed in the marmoset toolbag.

Cagiva V593?
That's awesome. What are you making it for? You should do a city thing with the UDK or something if you're not already doing that.
PogoP: Fine fine I'll try that out

Dammit, penis drawing time
Thx Legend......will do some proper renders when its finished
