working on stylized versions of San Francisco's Alamo Square Painted Ladies, the base mesh is pretty much complete, I'll have to add some of the uniqueness in a little bit.

I know there's only 5 in my screenshot... I have to clean up the base mesh first...
Paulewog: it manages to be adorable and scary at the same time, I guess it sort of looks like a pug.. just the overall shape maybe, hahaha. I like it.
So I been having this in my head for a while after Holographic Dickbot Goldfish Vessel, and took the idea for a spin. Drawing mechs wasn't as hard as I feared (never know till you try :B), but then I just watched a bunch of ZOE. Time for Luminous Frotbot Gecko Carrier!
@ oniram: it was a game prototype For a college class. The project was called colony 28. the game takes place in an underground city like rapture, except instead of underwater, its a mining colony and instead of art deco, its art neuveau! its fun to do concepts to fit into this world because art neuveau has so many sides.
Satin is freaking tough, dude. Definitely hard to make it look like it's not plastic, and I don't think I've reached the point where it's more satin than plastic.

Definitely doesn't look like plastic to me. Nice work man.

I apologize to the author if I didn't credit him before.
I want to say that it is only a sculpting exsercise I'm doing to test my skills. I'll never be in the state of mind of thinking I can steal work from others:) Sorry for every incomprehension
still much to do, spent half the day in PS playing with spec maps and such.
looking ace swizzle, the only thing I could think to do would be a little oversized fabric weave in the spec perhaps.....reads well enough already though
first (good) walk cycle.
does anyone have any tips for creating the 7 other directions it needs for blending when put into a game?
are there any shortcuts?
Saturday doodle whilst on downtime from my University work. Nothing serious, should have some more environment WIP's for my portfolio graduation in 10 weeks in the coming days.
Cheers
@Seth: Loving it, vibrant colours and nice presentation!
there's some nice, nice stuff in here
prototyp3: killer features man. really great face
gav: i'd be nervous about asking for that in the comic shop.
"hey, do you guys have the latest issue of *mumble mumble* Astonishing Assholes in stock yet?"
Holy shit, that last page was awesome. And goddamn, this new one is off to an amazing start.
Alright, I think I've gotten the fabric a bit closer to where I want it. Now, damask or no damask? I'm leaning towards damask because it adds some interesting texture, but the original concept didn't have the pattern and I also don't want it to look too busy.

Yep. That looks better. Just sort out the clipping foot at the end and your there.
Great stuff like usual Jaco!
To me she looks more like Razor Candi, a gothic model.
Maybe add a slight fresnel effect to the texture and something along those lines here, but not as strong

It's best not to copy detail for detail if you're trying to make your own design
Definitely doesn't look like plastic to me. Nice work man.
It's best to credit or link the original then so people don't think it's yours

Sparkwire : nice walk cycle...you'll need a slight overlap top make it more seemless, but you probably already know that.
