Very cool, haikai. What shader are you using? The specularity and brightness looks very nice on it.
That's SkinShade4 from the Standard Materials section. I don't remember if it's one of the defaults or not, but if not then it's probably one of the free ones from ZbrushCentral or something.
I don't really know what I'm doing, but I thought it gave me a decent neutral starting point, and it doesn't get super dark in the shadowed areas which I like. The image I posted did have some minor contrast tweaks done in PS though.
BTW, there's been a lot of great work on here lately!
onelunglewis> Looking good. To me the pose on the right he seems to be falling over, or at least not as having a strong stance. I'd say bend his knees a bit and pose/choose an angle where we more easily can see the knees being bent. Right now they both look quite straight.
strOlsson> Looking nice. How did you end up creating it?
ferg, fletcher, teaandcigarrettes and terabite - I don't like giving out blind praise but shit, you all make it so hard. LOVE the pieces, no crits about em.
Slapping some textures together, mostly just laying down colors. I have some bake errors to fix, and I'll be re-doing the sack texture.
Added a lense flare for that authentic mass effect look. I do wish I could parent lights inside marmoset so when I do a turntable they would rotate around.
Metal needs a few more details and more gloss variations all over the place, but that's about it I think.
Only spent about half an hour on wood and tape. No clue how to go best about these. Any hints are very welcome.
JMYoung - Awesome to see some of the community doing some LBP fanwork, wish the creative people at Media Melecule would let us do a mass effect dlc pack at work
skinned and rigged "my" lara from a couple of pages back yesterday..
started on a cartwheel animation before going to sleep.. got around to working a bit more on it today after valentines cake was had:poly142:
(kinda feel I liked the shadowmapped feel of the motionbuilder realtime shadow rather than the raytraced feel, this time around:poly136:)
inb4textures:) (uv's are "done", anyone care for an sdk?:D!!)
while Im waiting for the lara animation to upload to youtube (uploaded the wrong 200mb file just now!:poly127:)
also constantly (ใใช๏ผ) working on my unity project.
got some help from a coder friend who got some scripts together for me so that I could play my game a bit. animations looping like shit and what not, but whatever! http://thatanimator.blogspot.com/
Happy Valentines Day. With that in mind, here's a early wip of the whoriest whore that capcom that ever whored.
Boobs too dense in poly? Arms too thin? Skin needs a contrast/gamma adjustment? Hair needs more hair? Dress needs to be more revealing? Clavicles too high? Shoulders need remodeling? Waist needs to be lowered? Blender shaded viewport preview sucks?
I'm not sure about the answers myself. Target's UT2.
There's still lots of little things that need to be addressed. Things are slightly too clean right now, but first I want to nail all the little details. I also have to cap a bunch of stuff before porting this into UDK and building the rest of the scene around it.
thatanimator: ace work on that project man, im loving the movement on the camera (although i've already said how slick it looks). keep up the great work
GCMP: i feel like the label is holding the piece back, right now the text needs some work (retro sip) and i think you could do a lot more with that little character as well.
heres a pine-sol bottle for the similarity in question, which i originally agreed with until i checked out the label again
Here's the old unwrap, needed a few changes but overall it's similar
And a quick render. Normal map isn't applied yet, which is why those buttons seem a bit chunky.
It's going into an open wheel race car.
BTW, if anyone asks you to do an alcantara texture, do the world a favor and just throw them off a bridge. Carbon, easy. Rubber, all right. Metal, fine. alcantara NOPE NOPE NOPE
Leilei: That's a pretty nice Morrigan so far. I'd be interested in seeing your wireframe because it looks like you've got some funky triangulation shading going on in the neck. The back/side of the torso is protruding kind of oddly too.
Well, I've finally completed my Jennifer Connely digital portrait!
Here's the final image:
I also have a progress comparisson image:
I did my best to capture her beauty, but there was too much there, I couldn't even come close. It's nice to have such a great muse, though. It helps push you forward.

Here is an office chair I'm working on. I still want to add a few details. Yes that is a lot of levers.

What the hell??
Imageshack now require you to register to have direct links so I tried another site. I guess it wasn't good either...
I'll go with tinypic from now on.

@ teaandcigarettes. Awesome! Looks great! I've cravings already!
Basic normal bake on an auto UV to get the feel for the baking
Hey TerraBite,
Great job on the model, you should make mario and Bowser now :P
keep up the great work
Cheers,
Arman
Getting this baby ready for messiah. Can't wait to rig and animate him.

CryEngine 2. More familiar with that..
it's not game artwork but...
RetroSip Product Presentation
Love it!
ceebee, never heard of that before but I can say that this is a 100% original design.
Awesome! reminds me of the old bond posters.

Finally baked the normal map onto the low poly. I'm happy with how this turned out!
I try for the first time the high poly modeling in maya.
700K triangles is maybe too much ? :poly124:
