This was done in zbrush and comped in photoshop. Just trying to improve my sculpting skills.
This was done originally as an anatomy test, I ended up liking it and wanted to learn zbrush's polypaint. Everything was textured in zbrush except for the paint.
Did i just.. ohhhahaha, yeah, silly me, sorry about that.
They fall in line, one at the time, ready to play!"
I'm still going to make a few changes, in the folds and do some overall detailing, all details left will be done in the normalmap.
Fun fact, it is 25 Mil, and my zbrush file is 400 mb.
And a sub-d shot, for what it's worth, I guess it functions, kinda.
Hey there this is my sculpt for the GA Daily Sculpting Challenge
Took about 3hrs, which is way to long but im gettin better so thats good.
Another thing how do i post up my turntable for this guy. iv never posted a video up on polycout before so im kinda cunfused why it isnt working. can anyone help me out ?
Here is a pose I put my dinosaur into rather quickly. I hope you like it. It's my best pose so far. Please keep in mind that there will be some deformations, but like I said I did it rather quickly so my apologize if it is lacking professional quality. Well here are different camera views of the pose. Enjoy!
Another update... oh god, the hair... still not done with it. Also still have a few more finishing details left to go before I can call her done.
Crazyfool - I ADORE your sculpt of the Stabbington brother!! Seriously, I loved their design in the movie, and your sculpt of him is AMAZING. It makes me happy to see! Jeff Bridges is also looking spot-on!
jramauri - Nice!! I loved Black Swan too, really powerful movie. I feel like her face looks as if it needs more understanding of the anatomy under it, especially in the nose and lips area. The painting is great, you just gotta go deeper than the skin. I really love the treatment of the feathers of her outfit and arms, though!
Worked a bit on my Guild wars guy today. I still need to finish baking some normals and futzing around with some issues with existing bakes, but he's getting there.
There are some issues with posterization in the normals on his jacket, so I need to figure out what the deal is with that. Very strange. I've also got to adjust his skirt thing so it gets a cleaner bake.
crazyfool! You're crazy. Thanks for sharing vids and pics. Great inspiration. Awesome timelapses. Make a tutorial vid with some hidden tricks in ZBrush and I'll definately buy it. Keep on postin'
Polycount should just turn into a big ass studio with all this great work!
Haha, the games produced would be the most awesome looking games ever - without gameplay, story or map design or any other unimportant part of a game for that mater
[EDIT] And oh yeah, i actually forgot, eh.. Programming, but how needs it, hu?

Hey guys, I have finally finished a project I have been sweating over since before the Christmas break. I had a blast working on it but I am so glad its over. My goal was to create a cinematic res character that would render realtime in Marmoset.
Enjoy! If you have any questions or want to see some more detailed shots you can go to my sketchbook thread.
onelunglewis- that turned out real nice- love the armor detailing- nice attention payed to it. His face needs something- I can;t put my finger on it-but overall B.A.
more art push ups ver at GA for me too-my cowboys/indians sub
2 hours practise with armature tools, inspired by Aristote at first then by Chabal : i need to make some eyebrow, good beard and work on details (something like 5th real sculpt)
Hahaha, yeah the folds feel like a bit of an overkill.
I need to grab some reference and see if i can fix that.
The helmet is based on the concept for halo 3 and those are quite thick.
Which also makes sense, if you look at how wide the skull is, and add good layer too it. It is true though that my helmet looks way thicker then Halo's ingame models. Though i find it refreshing, less of an eggshell and more like a piece of armor
Also, those other helmets stop just passed the ears, mine runs along the jaw.
ae. great to hear man! Appreciate it.
as far as 343 goes, im coming short on a lot of things to be able to be part of them
Looking good mezz!
Moof! keep it sexy
Crazyfool, love those videos, great work for a short periode of time.
onelunglewis: Awesome turnout, it looks pretty awesome, only thing that kinda urks me about it is how different the final model is from the concept, the proportions are much heavier in the final model. your materials look awesome thou especially the polish on the horns. a great render to be sure!
Any special technique for getting the hair to look that way?
Basically, I started with random fine and deep strokes (look at the first wip pic). For this I use silva's brush, you can get it on zbc. Then I filled up holes and gave a more road like aspect with the clay tubes brush using a square alpha. When the forms were too boring, I just added larger or finer strokes, still using the same technique.
Thanks guys !
@onelung - that samurai is badass! I think you should saturate the armor more though. @jocz - that is one sexy joker
thanks for the positive feedback on the pharaoh design!
woke up early today, felt productive, more design stuffs.
I looked around various printing sites (customink and a few others) but wasn't getting results I wanted, so if you guys have advice, please send a PM my way
@jmiles : Thanks! @RJBonner : Yeah ! I gave the link of the warjacks inspiration on my previous update (but maybe I'll have to do for each update ) So here's the link of the action figures for the one interested : http://privateerpress.com/warmachine/gallery/cygnar/warjacks. The arms are more like the Khadors's WJ

I think that's the blu-ish lighting.
Shine a bright orange light on him and the suit'll light right up.
Dem folds!
Is the helmet really that wide on them? I only remember the marine helmets from Halo2, and they were a bit slimmer.
I need to grab some reference and see if i can fix that.
