Mask_Salesman - wonderful fur mate! could you show wires for just the fur? - I understand the technique - just wanted to see how you implemented it (and what kind of fur is it meant to be?) - would it work with sheeps-wool?

Seconded.
@mask_salesman
Those fur textures look really awesome, I'm curious how it looks mesh wise as well. Really great stuff
She's looking superb, man. The only thing I can say is that the pose looks a bit lifeless; Probably 'cause her head is totally straight, and her expression rather blank.
So I finally got around to finishing this guy up. I know it's been awhile. I am finishing up some other characters right now. A blaster and a proper base will be in the works once other characters are completed Let me know what you think guys!
Might be good to have a dark value where his shoulders connect to the torso, like a lip of some kind where the arm would atually go in. A bit more model definition in the neck padding around Jim's body too perhaps.
Gusti, Stinkhorse & Lonewolf, thanks for the comments! I see what you mean, I think I'll give it another pass on the diffuse/spec, add some rust and grime it up in places. I'll apply a subtle normal map too, to give a hint of damage and dents.

mother of god. I'll be interested to see it on a stand and posed.
Haiasi: It's neat but... how does it move forward? As far as I can see it's got big chunky tires just so it can spin around on the spot...
depends if all 3 tires take the same amount of power. If you have one spining faster than the other and if the whole robot isn't directly attatched to the wheels (i.e. ts got a 360 degree swivel mechanism halfway up) it would work like a tank. Wouldn't be very fast, but could go in straight lines.
 Indeed. All the talk about the new one made me want to do something with the old style. Will see if it gets put into an engine or just keep it as a pretty-project thing... Would be a good exercise in modular cyber punk stuff.
I'm actually thinking that since it has 4 wheels (corrected in this, previous does seem like 3 wheels) it would lift a pair of wheels an inch or two off the ground to allow it to move forward. Good point.

Finally got around to texturing that guy huh, good job man! :P
I need to put a fire under this, got a super late start. Still unsatisfied with the legs but I think they will look right after being posed. He looks a lot meaner now.
Undoz is kinda hard to follow I'm gathering resources to compile a working process thread, the gun, is missing a spec map atm... until then, I hope you like.

So awesome.
Really great piece undoz, love the execution, the proportions and every bit of the model holds detail!
lol thanx
its actually my keychain
Wolf, you could make the detail of the fabric less strong, like this.
Dude that's awesome
I'm guessing u used zbrush?
yeah, its not perfect because it was the first test, but if you get a good bump texture for fabric you can do it perfect.

More please!
