So yeah the corect "standards" for the hat is 800 tri HOWEVER keep i mind that all the other currents hats goes above that limit. some goes over 2000 tris and the camera beard goes up to 4000 tris!
Very true. I still the crown looks a bit Olympian and out of place. Continue with it if you want to be easy, but I think we should brainstorm other ideas.

I like it for sure. Maybe make the lens bigger and more bovious though. With something that distinguishes it as a camera more clearly. I didn't know that was supposed to be a camera until you said so.

see, that's the problem! A lot of people here are suggesting some sort of a misc item like a flower that is not a hat. And I really don't have any good ideas about a hat, every simple stereotypical hat idea was already made possible like the fedora and bowler.

On a side note, youre using Maya, right? If so, do you have any helpful tutorials you use?
Take out all the detail on the leaves, just have them be ovals and you're good.

A lot of hats go past 800 tris. I say do it and if you have doubts still make an additional item to include with the pack.
The golden flower fits so well with your theme that I think Valve would probably allow a measly 200 tris extra.
It doesn't have to be a detailed rose with a dozen pedals ya know.

You don't even have to use a rose. You can use a tulip or some other flower.
