You need to work on your texture, there is an incredible lack of sharpness in it, all the brushtrokes are very soft, quite unlike the rest of TF2's textures.

it's in "beta" stage right now, I'll add more detail, scratches later
The size the cigars are compared to the inside space of the PDA troubles me a bit.
I just cant picture how it would close it without the poor cigars getting squished (clipping thru the case)
A easy fix would probably make the inside of the case less hollow.
i guess I'll give another try at a crit, here it goes..
If ya don't like it.. ignore me, but if it were me I'd take crits as positive as possible.
1. Chamfer your edges more, they've very sharp and a small chamfer would help grab some light to highlight the eges more.
2. Minor, but give the wires some life and strech em in their shape so they don't look like a perfect rainbow. * Take notice of the sapper image at the bottom. *
3. Maybe try and make the holder encase the cigars so they just slide out the top. It would save on texture space since the cigars would need to be half the size and would create a more interesting shape/shadows for the object.
4. Some baked AO here would help a ton. the metal is looking muddy, so maybe try and simplify it some with minor highlight/edge wear. Also, the wood is very very dark atm and doesn't come off as wood. Lighten it some and give some edge detail to give it more definition. Even if your going for the dark wood, i think a lighter shade with some highlights would benefit. Putting this item into the spys hands, it would clash color wise and with detail.
5. Take note of the rounded bits in the spy sapper and notice they are generous with the polys. You should do the same. On a screen give it more so the polys are so present and that way the light reflection will bounce off of this more naturally and less jagedy.
6. I don't know what this is, and i'm sure neither will the player. If its unfinished, fine.. but try and give the shape more definition. Work with the bevels, chamfers more to make it more representative of a screen or label.
Your idea is good and with more work the item can be just as equal. The detail on the back side is cool, but it seems very out of place in level of detail with a tf2 item. Work with the shapes more to blend in with tf2 style *more simple or pushed*
i know you've probably seen it a bazillion times, but really.. really put your item up to the spy sapper even though its not the replacement and compare if yours visually has the style of the sapper... Not saying its bad or anything, just saying don't continue going down the wrong path till you get too far and don't want to or can't turn back.

Why? His other disguise thing is a cigarette case and he's got a good looking cigar case replacing it. I see no reason to go back to the drawing board.
Looks good, just refine the cigars a little bit and slab on a good texture and it's good to go.
Edit:I Nvm :P
The pouche's texture is a bit weird, could be blended together a bit more. Besides that it's all good.
Sorry to say that Fragus, but you should think more on modelling, instead of posting updates every 30 minutes, when most of theme are pretty much the same...
Moreover you said above that you are remodeling it, but i don't see what is changed (tuner knob?)
I like the design as a whole, but you should spend considerable same time on modeling :>
You should add more polys here and there, because now its a bit rough and flat:
-Cigar labels could be extruded
-Cigars pocket could also have some thickness
-Screen could be mour smooth and have some kind of rubber after it
-Know could have something to fine tune (like here http://www.guitar-parts.com/pictures/1432c/Guild-Knob.jpg)
-You could add some cracks (tiny ones) to the frame
-And of course bevel some corner edges to give the surface nice highlights in game
Good luck, and sorry for harsh words
PS. Also if you want to add something after 4minutes, you can always edit you post

Can't please everyone. The cigar pocket is bigger, the edges are chamfered and the texture is less muddy. I like it. Also, if I "edit my post instead of posting a new one" I would be on the fifth page right now, thanks for the advice. :poly117:
I think he means to add some thickness to the cigar pouch.
Anyways, does the top section come out of the cigar box? I'm trying to understand how it fits within the box normally. Maybe you could make it thinner and have a hinged door on the back (if it opened like a jack-in-the-box)?

Even tough it still looks weird and dont make sense.
They're obviously wrappedin cling film! (sssh thats what you can tell them)

hope that helps, good luck.
Unsure about cigars, perhaps you should rethink what to put there, or make the holder even higher up.
It makes no sense for the cigar case not to have cigars.
My mistake.
Make it not a cigar case?
Perhaps only have a single cigar that is held in by a wide-elastic strip and angled, and underneath have an etched-floral design?

Big thanks to Insaneicide for compiling the models!
