Im sad that something like 'note blocks' get added to the game yet other, more fun stuff to do with survival doesn't get added.
If I was Notch I'd be taking this in a completely different direction.. Making it more like a scary survival game with more of an emphasis on.. well, survival. That and exploration!
But, I'm not Notch. Flame away!
That said, I do love Minecraft and the survival element that the game currently has is brilliant. It just needs expanding upon.
ugh. ill wait till theres a fix for this new update. single player is laggy as hell. keeps hanging every 2 seconds and crashing a lot (and when i come back im fucking stuck in solid rock or something). it definitely has to do with the view distance, but WTH i could play with view distance set to far in previous builds (at least in single player).
They cant climb ceilings, so battlements will hold them off. I also assume they cant climb fences or floating stone slabs, but i havent tested. Suspicious that they cant climb glass after some things i saw in sp but didnt investigate.
The spiders is supposely not able to climb sandstone, but can climb fences, making them pretty useless. And spiders shouldn't be able to climb vertical on glass, make no sense for them to do so.
Luke are you deadeye? Anyway I was the one that started filling in all the holes and trying to level the ground but I didn't get much done and the server went down. Next day I logged on and someone else had finished the job
So until we fix it proper, you might get invisible chunks, but they will fix themselves after a second or two, usually way before you even get close to them.
Entity: usually, my next step after getting the basics is digging a staircase or vertical shaft with a ladder down to bedrock, going up a few blocks and then doing some grid mining. I typically build a main tunnel about 40 blocks long with side branches every 4th block, I extend those side tunnels 20 blocks. It's a good way to build up your diamond and redstone supply.
If Notch had made those squid evil I'd never swim. Instead they don't do anything even if you attack them. Also their swimming sounds like someone digging mud. Made me wtf at first cause I had my volume pretty high and no one was around XD
How does the minecart highway work? I saw some minecarts which are cut off with a block and has part of its track go slanted /.

Sometime this weekend
Awesome :O
Actually I want to make an underwater dome made of glass but it must be hard in the dark but then we can't go to hell to get lightstone
I like the original concept of stacking the blocks to get different notes, the right click tuning can get really frustrating.
i'm on now,

I tried that, doesn't work for me. Last time I connected it was a completely different address that he'd given me on #md.
