I need some advice. What would be the best way to jiggle this? Bone placement and settings.
If I use springy is goes "nuts", no matter how stiff I make it. I'm unsure if I should have one bone inside the snowman and make that a sort of weight and then have 4 smaller bones inside each spring curve.
It's that time of the year again: KWANZAA. To celebrate, I am making a kufi for the demoman:
First time doing a texture for TF2. Followed Swizzle's guide, but any other thoughts/brutal honesty is greatly appreciated.
@ Proof: Looks nifty. It might be better to flip the wipers, so it would appear as if he is looking into the mirror, but that's just personal opinion. It is consistent with a car windshield, so I can see what you are going for.
The phong is a little high right now, but this is what I have so far:
I love it but instead of filling it with candy canes or something fill it with wrenches or something that suits what the engineer would want for christmas. But overall good work.
Lol, hilarious. Don't know if I really dig the headlight, But the wipers are awesome and the mirror is pretty funny addition.
The wipers are animated right? They GOTTA be!

Thanks But, unfortunately, as I know, Valve doesn't accept user's animations. I'll animate it to make a video.
D-D-D-Demon!: I like the wrench but the bear fits in more snugly so my suggestion is to add more stuff with the wrench. Like a stocking full of candy...(or coal).
@Demon: have you considered a toy robot instead? very christmasy and it would fit in the line of the bear. @Ronin: it's looking pretty good. The pant fur doesn't convince me. You should consider making the insides of the sleeves white as well.
A lot better. Perhaps make the handle of the screwdriver more phongy and reflective otherwise I'm satisfied with it.
I had a long thought today and I've decided the wraith isn't going anywhere good whereas I liked my bobbly springy wobbly hat. But I decided to transfer the idea of a unique mesh per class but use the same texture sheet.
I have these so far:
Any suggestions for other classes? I was thinking reindeer and skull for sniper, santa for Heavy, maybe an eyeball with a hat for demoman but not sure about Spy or Soldier.
Well uh, I think I'm going to have to reconsider what I'm doing.
So moving on, new concepts!
A missletoe'd camouflaged rifle for the sniper, a blunderbuss for the scout, a shotgun made of gingerbread for the engie, and elf-ish toy-ish revolver for the spy, and a launcher that shoots bells for the demoman.
Yep, not really great ideas, but I'm pretty much scraping out whatever I can.
I don't know perhaps the whole 9 new weapons, one per class, is not even worth doing.
Update for backpack. Change bell to candys (its really similar to taco bell, i didnt notice it, cause it is no in my country). Also add bow to handle. Better, worse?

added the buckle and phong mask. This is probably the last mesh addition since it's already running at 1200 tris.

A REVOLVER THAT RELOADS WITH LOGICAL MECHANICS!
Also c-c-c-c-combo breaker with all these holiday season items.
Clips a little with the bear's arms, but I'm still working on that.

What do you guys prefer, left or right?
Hmm have to test to see if the pyro holds it properly in game before moving on with it.

Thoughts?

Suggestions about add/remove/change details ?
I love the bent antenna and ornament.
Best

Added a candy cane, made it a pinkish color for contrast.
The bell looks too much like the old Bell Telephone logo or Taco Bell.
Not that this is any better but...
Maybe crossed candy canes

Can't really think of names honestly. Was thinking of "Stocking Stuffer."
Now with 90% less clipping on all hats/miscs

Looks really nice!
