The specular on the brown parts make it look like satin-finished metal, not leather like i'm guessing it's supposed to be. And the brighter spots along the edges look like it is shiny due to wear. If it is metal, ignore me, but otherwise i think the spec map could use some adjusting.

Oh man! I've wanted someone to make that for so freaking long, although i want the other kind, the one that pulls the teeth backwards, perhaps you could make both, also, to make it look less modern, make the strap thingies leather and give them buckles, should probably do the trick.
And you might want to make the wires enter the mouth closer to the center, so it clips less with the mouth animations
Pulls them backwards? Got an example of that? The corners of his mouth seemed to be the only place I could slip the brace in without visable clipping, because the scout ironically actually has underbite haha I'll have to just test the mouth animations, but yeah when I find time to remodel it again, I'll probably go with a more angular frame, and the leather straps with buckles sound like a nice touch to me, cheers!
The mad hatter is comprised of three different parts. The hair, the monocle, and the collar thing are items themselves, and the hat, mustache, and bow tie are styles of said items. (hopefully)

Those .gifs look broken... What kind of an exporter do you use? .jpg are animated, too.
Not broken here unless you're talking about sparks animation which in my opinion is splendid. Also, there is no way you can have .jpg (on its own) to be animated. You can stack a bunch of jpg images and have them transition from one to another but not on it's own.
@sparkwire: That is one fine engineer i must say. I love how you made the collar deliberately inconsistent in folds and the same with the hair. An easy submission right there.
Me and Gerre worked on making the Buoy Wonder as a backpack replacement and this is the result:
make it team colored
if it's simple orange for both sides it likely won't fit in (see cp_orange)
If it's orange only for RED a red similiar to the Scouts shirt would help make it fit in more (or for that matter the colors of the Engineers gloves or something)
rarely do you see a straight bright orange item (maybe dead cone but even that is not really orange)
though it may make sense from a IRL standpoint, TF2 has it's own set of visual rules though less enforced than earlier in it's lifetime it may help to consider them
this is irrelevant if I'm completely blind and that is in fact a good color for use, might help to see it in "action"
that scout misc looks so much better around his waste

Weird question. Do you think valve would accept edits to already contributed models? I really want to fix the tip of the blade on the Eternal Reward because currently it goes to a vert tip and looks strange in game to the point that I can't use it without being put off.. so I was thinking of chamfering it back a tad to make it look better, maybe I could send it to chemical? She might contribute it as an update?

guys I have a simple question,I have a bolt that essentially is a 6 sides cylinder,I have to assign a different smoothing group to each face in order to don't have it smoothed inside the source engine or I could leave it without smoothing groups without worrying about nothing?
My fear is that if I don't put the smoothing group on each face, maybe the source engine apply all the faces to the same group smoothing all the bolts ._.
I see the black tip now, I missed that the first time around, all I saw was a blobby form. I don't want to be too harsh, but I can't tell what that's supposed to be.
Dunno it seems like something the Spy might use. Looks James Bond'y and the dish on the end just helps that image whereas on the other hand the engineer is the technical genius so...But it's a nice model none the less.

Yeah, the one you're doing is a reversed pull headgear, pulls the teeth forward. BTW i found this old looking version of one:
The one i want is the neck strap or cervical headgear:
It could serve as a misc
there's also the high pull one, found an old looking version of one of those as well:

Sorry bout' that.

I already fixed the spec;
any help would be great, thanks.

I present to you, "The Mad Hatter".

Here is the default appearance
Nice looking hair!.
I had the same issue with my pyro clown. How many things do you combine into one item?
We still haven't got the promised 2nd item slot, so do you submit them all as one accerssory? wait until we get a slot and make two?
Can I get some comments & crits? this is one of the sloppiest unwraps I've ever done so besides the texturing any suggestions?
Done, but I need a name.

Ha! its awesome! I wish I was good at names though.

It's already teamcolored
orange-red for RED team, and blue for BLU
here's a pic, it's around the waist but it has the same texture
Is that some new fangled Jell-O Pudding Pop? Seems a bit soft for some stabby-stab.
in what way?

Did you switch the glove on the hands ^^?
EDIT: Completely missed that :poly122:
It's a necktie.
Gotta name that one Foreman's Frock
Anyway, progress on a gun fitting the bison animations I'm making.
Two rayguns for the soldier's probably a bit much, so I checked how it looks on the engineer and spy.
supposed to be a crab claw
@Svdl - I would say I'd prefer it for the Engineer but like Habboi said, it just looks so goddam good on the Spy.
I so I guess the monocle and the cigarette holder and going to be part of the same misc. item assuming they both get in game.
I made one a while ago but it was nothing short of laughable.
What do you guys think of this? if it ends up looking alright then I'll try getting it in game along with the cola bottle.
The trouble is jiggleboned liquid on the angled surface, anyone had any luck with that?

Looks cool, but another class already has this hat

Should I light-heartedly point out the irony with the Chieftain's Challenge and the Big Chief?
My only argument is with the description. It's been said many a time, even in his bio that he isn't particularly stupid, he's just quiet and sluggish.
