Didn't like 3Dcoat though, got the trial but it felt totally unnatural.
I wrote taht in 2009 on my sketchbook on the 3dcoat boards "Voxel is very nice for prototyping, but i have such an hard time to get strong sculpting
I need to pass the feeling of "its too soft to work with"."
You should try it again, the last few betas are a big leap forward in brush feeling, I don't use zbrush much except for work, but at home it's 3dc all the way ^^
Will do. If I recall correctly last (and only) time I used it there was a major incoming update, so it could've changed a lot for the better. Funny how you mentioned how felt it was too soft, I recall having the same feeling as well.
making moar weapons and putting them in oblivion :B
dummy texture but real normal map, I made it through some weird 3dsmaxphotoshop hacking to bake an object onto itself, I really need to learn more about this.. to just render an object's own normal map to edit on. But it worked.
I am glad all this game modding is forcing me to learn textures, instead of all the bare models I've made previously.
testing a sculp today, no need to be perfect because I just want to test a hair as my main practice tomorrow ...
do you think real hair worth? or alpha plane hair could do the job?
i wanted to do something like game cinematic quality test.
I love that little guy roBOT, you could cut a lot of those loops without losing any silhouette and save a good number of tris tho. did a quick paintover
Tried my hand at something highpoly for a change. First wheel I made, I think. Accidentally converted the tire to an editable poly... =( Otherwise it's pretty decent, I think. Comments are welcome though, nothing's perfect.
Hey Xvampire, cool hair! What do you use for it ? Maybe its 2d ? Its hard to tell hehe
its 3d. im using Muh hair shader for softimage. otherwise it just same hair and fur we see in both maya and max.
its not really set in high quality setting.
Next Image arrows are too small. Kept clicking close.
Contact page is empty as shit, put it all on front page.
Finally, images lack your name and contact. They sometimes save images they like for future reference but if your work doesn't have a name on it or a website, how will they find you again?
Sup guys, another something I'm working on
Been wanting to get into character modeling for a while now and I've been looking at loads of pictures, tutorials etc.
Now, this my first head model done without tutorials, maybe some wireframes of other models but just to look how the flow works.. And I'm wanting a few pointers now to improve

Almost done wrapping up the sculpt up on this guy. It's based on a Massive Black concept, I don't know which artist though unfortunately, and you can check it out here, http://jeffloftin.com/Riot_Cop/MassiveBlackConcept.jpg
dustinbrown: Nice sculpt! I know you've not finished the armor, but the shoulder piece is really lacking the elegance of the concept art. With the nice sweeps and the way everything flows and fits together.
dustin: The snakes on his back, you lost the eye intensity, need to be larger and more aggressive, also, you thicken the body in an irregular fashion as it gets closer to the shoulders which makes it look wrong. You ought to find some way to work those into a backpack bracing sort of construction that ties in with the elaborate head dress shoulder mount stuff, would be useful to look up some old aztec and mayan art and use more of that for inspiration.
ScoobyDoofus: cheers. umm i do not. well i got lots of refs but mainly influenced by frank frazetta/dejah thoris character drawings for accesories/clothing anyway. shes one part of a bigger scene I'm working on.

This is brilliant, although I would actually say the line works better just cutting off after 'I want YOU to stand in the fire'. Good luck
To be Sam, looks great  You got my vote, Sir.
Obsti: hahaha nice
Watched Beauty and the Beast again this weekend. Felt inspired...

Awesome stuff in here, still working on this guy
this model is really intresting and well made. it makes me really want to find out its backstory
Nonetheless, nice model.
Mladen: Wonderful as always. Do you have a concept?
