Just had a blast with sculpting and composing a skin shader
Needs more sculpting, more eyes, more hairs (is this the right approach?), more everything...
anyone recogize him?
MephistonX: I would recommend checking out some anatomy reference, I see a lot of obvious mistakes especially on the arms and lower abdomen (and im not even an expert on human anatomy). Are you using reference?
MephistonX: nice!, though his abs seem a little blocky for some reason
i could use some crits as well,
still trying to get a better understanding of anatomy, i will de-hulk her once i'm happy with the overall proportions and muscle forms.
Woah woah woah... her?
You need to look a lot more closely at some female reference for that character prolow :P Right now, there is nothing saying 'female' about what you have going. I'd suggest looking up female body builders as reference, if you're going the bulkier route. (They can be scary, but there's good reference out there for that :P)
Just wanted to show you guys my Comicon 2010 entry.
As you can see, I choose the Rhino, from Marvels Spiderman, since it's one of my very favorite villains.
The hole progress was kinda new to me, since it is my first character done in mudbux. I faced alot of problems along the way, but with the support from alot of people, I managed ti finish in time. Thank's to you guys.
So here's my final result. Feel free to throw in a comment or two.
Critique is also very welcome
@ mike - yer i used the actual sculpture as reference, could you be more specific with the mistakes ? cheers
@ prolow - yer i was trying to make them look like the sculpture - there pronounced but not blocky so i didnt achieve it very well but i shall improve that for next time
yours is looking sweet but i think its legs are too masculine, slim them up and smooth out some of the musculature
Final images for my Comicon entry. Would've liked to have a more dynamic pose for the beauty shot (or even something based on one of Adam Hughes' covers), but ran out of time towards the end. Had a blast working on this though, and much was learned
I'm in Love ! :poly124:

Okay, now my water shader (UDK).
It's hard to have a good rendering...
JACO- this really is the best catwoman i´ve seen ever! congratz for this great character ... i hope you´ll win ... good luck!
hey blitz... nice ninja turtle!
His forarms look pretty odd to me, everything else looks awesome as hell! I love the detail like his scars!
I second this. The profile is alittle too linear here, maybe round it out and give it a bit more protrusion. Left arm isn't as noticeable as the right, and it might just be the angle of the render, but yeah, could use a tiny bit more Umph in the profile. Looks great though. Nice job crazyfool.
Ravenslayer - It looks sweet so far. I think the colors may be a little too saturated, but that might just be personal taste. Also, I think you could change up the spec between the paint and rust a little bit to differentiate them from each other a bit more.
Blaize thats a great model and texture.
I love the subtle softness and sss feel you got in the texture. Especially in the weapon arm.
Do you bake the lighting onto your textures or are they all hand painted?
You Comicon guys are all sick. All of those models are very impressive.
@Blazier, i like it alot, but it seems like the edges to the plates could be a little bolder/thicker, whatever. Right now it seems a bit flat/smooth. (segments of body and arms[red] especially.)
woow gauss she is pretty man Fantastic work on that face and it reads as Brazilian strait away She reminds me of someone but i cant think of the name . If I may ask what would you ( or anybody else here ) consider key features of a Brazilian female face? What I can see is a little stronger jaw, dark hair and eyes, what else is in there- sometimes I can't really say just by looking at it Other thing I noticed with most Brazilian girls is that thee are not exactly cute, but have some male lines in their faces that are blended very well and give them that extra touch that tells - dont mess with me o r may be this is just in my head
I'm always speechless on your texturing skills, the way you paint material is very impressive, they really look lively as if there was multiple map involved, but it's only diffuse work Oo

edit: Duh, didn't notice there were two pages full of posts after Jaco's where people noticed this multiple times.
Made this on saturday for a schoolexercise (single plane wall panel)

Here a little model i am doing right now... its a fun quickie, not for comiccon.
Hand and other parts need a lot of work.. so still far to go.

Gauss, cool painting!
Something i did recently, based on a concept i did a while ago. You know, one eye can give a lot!
Update: quick ant dirty texture before i go to bed, maybe this will help shrew.
Thats really nice looking, it it possible to get a look at your shader network?
I love the subtle softness and sss feel you got in the texture. Especially in the weapon arm.

Supposed to be some underground Lovecraft-ish temple.

blaizer: very nice texturing man

What are you doing with his calves->knee area? Looks like you've got some really interesting texture sketched out there.
First thing done in like 2 months..
And I really like it so far
Maybe 2 hours of work on the texture so far, model isn't mine.
WITHOUT. Reads as avatar to me with it. Really nice work o the face, artrage or painter ?

Lightning storm passing through
Froyok> dude I really like your implementation. Cool looking environment, water effect is great.
