Medestruit: Fantastic work as always, do you have any of your shirts for sale? I'd love to order one...
Not yet. Still working on setting up a store front at the moment and securing some capital to invest in printing. Still working hard on that, but thanks for the comments. Certainly will let everyone here know when/if I do get prints out.
I'm really trying to collect an idea of how many possible buyers I might have so I can take the risk of throwing some extra money into this and not fear losing it to a bad investment =X
just straight material MR renders to pimp in my folio while i work on the lowpoly (though this might be a while as i need to attend to some other projects first).
I figured I could post this here since it is video game related It's my weekly flash contest entry for a tattoo artist forum, this week's theme is Video Games:
I'll be redoing it in PS to get it nice before I actually tattoo it. The rules of the contest are that it has to be traditional medium only, no digital and must be tattooable. The date was cut off, but it says Oct.07.10, not Oct.01
In case anyone doesn't know what Wasteland is, it's The Best CRPG EVER created! Despite being published in 1988 it still manages to get in all of the official Top 10 All Time Greatest RPGs lists
Hey guys, I've just found this site today so registered right away. I've only been modelling for about a month, so I'm a little iffy about posting a mech I'm working on after seeing some of the stuff you guys are making.

curse you all and your superior modeling skills! thought I'd finally get around to learning how to bake normals in max + check out marmoset, so i made a quick high poly and baked 'er down, results (P.S. its a screw head):
wire (sorry for horrible material, couldent figure out how to change :P ) :
turned out pretty well for my first try at baking normals + im now in love with marmoset :P next mission: make something decent.
Beretta M9 high poly, slightly inaccurate in places admittedly
Awesome highpoly
Mike Yevin: I think it looks nice man. Just try push and pull the big forms around if youre not satisfied till you find something you like hehe. I like it though
And thanks guys, glad you like my monsters hehe I will make a timelapse of how I make those creatures from planes as soon as I get the time. I use zb 4.0.
I'd love some criticism, it feels like I've been making faces the same way for years now.
Refine your lines. Skin wrinkles and fold tend to have a very fine edges you can perceive. Really carving those little details in make a world of difference. Otherwise your face looks a little melted, wet, and clay like.
Indeed Zwebbie, we have the bad habit of stop working on a model right before it starts to get interesting. You have a nice base there, with some interesting forms. Now you just need to keep on it
You have a good base, so now all you have to do is refine the forms and add more fine wrinkles.
I did a paintover to show yo where you could go with it:
I have a little nitpick about this; pulling out anatomical details isn't necessarily the correct action. Depending on age, body fat, things of that sort, you could plausibly go with Zwebbie's head. I think the final processes would be fine details paticular to your intent. I submit this as an example of realistic, without exaggerated forms [more].
the paintover really helps, do that and it'll be much better
another update with again not enough done but its 2 am i have to wake up at 8... i doubt i'll finish
added most of the missing details, just 2 straps on her jacket missing, further optimized the mesh, worked on the texture and shading more, next to do - build a base for her, create some specular and glossiness maps (none just yet), think about some poses, i really doubt i can do that tomorrow, but well who cares ^^
DESPERATELY need some fresh eyes on this (as well as on him), I think I've been looking at it too long today. Keep in mind the ears are suuuper rough still, just put some basic forms in there for the most part, and everything below the jaw hasn't been touched for a while. Any major errors you can see? Suggestions for the eyes?
Neox> Don't forget an alpha blended shadow over the eyes, or something painted in.
They have that freaky popping look 8|
ha thanks missed turing on AO there, was focussed so much on finding a working reflection map that i totally ignored that, would love to use some hemispheric masking like i'd do it in realtime but i dunno how to do that with MR

About 45 min in Zbrush while listening to Pelican leads to this
Should I finish it?

Oh hello, fellow 1866 developer. Looking good.
this is the color scheme i'm aiming for (can't remember where I found this ref) and some wires...

more renders on my site if anyone is interested.
Firebert: Nice gun. Very clean modeling. I like it.
Here is something I have been working on. It is a baby Freeze, for comic con.

Black Mask?
Awesome
I don't know who that is, but sorry. Another hint? find it on CGHub. Almost everyone should know this guy -_-
Oh, I get how you made it. You cheated a little though
nice try))
Don't know that I'm happy with the symmetry, or if I'm even going to use the right side period, just throwing ideas around.
Blah, I can't do eyes, and there are a lot of areas that still need work.
Suggestions?

I am such a huge fan of this hand painted style. Any tips on this or even a reference where you got any tips from?
I like this tattoo design, really cool idea, and I could definitely see it as a really sweet tattoo!! Good luck in the contest!!

It's OBVIOUSLY the Question!
Oooor his extradimensional counterpart / philosophical opposite, Rorschach!
i cant see nothing!
Then get a new monitor.
although i wuold prefer if it was presented on a bit lighter colour.
Awesome highpoly

Ohh, sorry, no dice. Rorschach was a good guess. Maybe I'll do a sculpt of him later.
If I can, I'll upload something tonight once I get most of the collar done on the suit.

Spider webs are a pain in the ass to draw on such a small scale(even though the web itself is probably 8 inches wide by 3 or 4 inches tall).
Neox: I hate you and your over-abundance of artistic talent >.<
Did a little post mortem thread over yonder.
