zxcman: that is based on marc brunet's concept right?
even tough the concept has this flattened finish style to it the muscles should have more volume in your sculpt.
especially the arms, pecs and deltoids
WIP for my Comicon entry. I tried sculpting folds on the shirt but it looked like crap, does anyone know any good techniques for sculpting folds in Mudbox?
Concepts and a quick rough for GA Comic-Con competition. Thinking of going swashbuckler Nightcrawler... though, now that I see your wips Rens I wonder whether my idea is too close
Another projekt I´m been working on. Its still a w.i.p
I want to improve my textures. So any criticism are welcome.
And all ideas on what i can do more whit the image.
laTarm, that looks really cool. I like it! The cardboard steps look especially nice. Is that in a game engine?
Only crit I have is the window glass looks a bit flat. Could use something, maybe change the color a bit? I can't put my finger on it.
thanks..
No. its mental ray now. And glass should be transparency like glass..:) but i forgot that. it´s a work sample for a job and I have all ready send it in. But I would like to make more of it before I make a final render for myself.
disanski, sorry for skipping you man,
I got some nice pirate music going while working, keeps me in the perfect mood!
Millah, by all means continue!
I like seeing more people going with these kinds of concepts.
As far as a tip goes for now, try and not pay attention to anatomy, ect, besides proportion. Looking at the concept, a lot will be cloths only, and since there is a real short deadline on this, you can save a lot of time on it. Good luck!
pff time.. an hour here, an hour there, man i wish i could work on it all day
eric, that is looking pretty nice. I'm not sure if you're going for a clean style, do you plan to put more colour variation in the diffuse? There are a lot of nice locational details that I think could be accentuated a lot more. Nice base so far though.
hot so far swizzle
you should add some wrinckles on the folds and have harder edges on the speculars
like here
didn't think i was going to do a comicon challenge entry untill i opened up my topcow artbook and found this awesome cover artwork
i had a "I NEED TO SCULPT YOU" moment so i started blocking him out :P
Moar. I'm spam happy lately...I think it's because progress on these takes a while with doing all the stipple work by hand so it looks like there isn't a whole lot of progression though there are a few hours of work between shots. Anywho...

I wish there was a "like" button on here. Jaco, you mind if I post this to the wiki? It's really good information to have.

Beginnings of a new environment, started today, UDK:
I did a rough 3d blockout of it and just painted on top.

I thought of this.
It's been a veryyy long time since I painted (more than a year I think), I forgot how cool it is to take a break from 3d for a while.
And construction shots (because I was testing an iterative save script in ps ^^)
