Female model for a multiplayer action rpgish game I'm working on... Players can be totally naked if they want. And, yes, I'm an amateur 3D artist. Model is 4358 tris. Noting special but wanted to share.
awesome fuse, I always hover over images in this thread then notice it was posted by you and get a little nostalgic glow. The facial forms are awesome, but one thing i might suggest is some more definition around the eyes and maybe the mouth, or some reallly subtle pores on the nose, to get rid of the kind of "cg" look
I kinda like the legs, with their weird saggy too-big skin feel to them. Sort of reminds me of the pale man, might be worth accentuating the loose sagging skin even more around the thighs and knees for optimal disturbing looks
My second attempt to sculpt a head in Zbrush, and I still feel myself mental sick =( I want Zbrush to be more friendly for me but still sculpt only crap... but i'm persistent, so i hope, someday my zbrushed heads will be better
Hey Ruz did you use edge creasing for that cute little guy? I find them great in maya (even if not perfect) but a real pain in max, care to elaborate on how you got that result ? Cool stuff!
I went over the whole thing with a thin wash of burnt sienna then did a titanium white and burnt sienna mix for touching up the highlights. It made the highlights a lot warmer and less harsh than they were in the old version. Paint is fun!
I'm looking a bit fatter in this than I should, so I really need to clean up the edge of the face. I also need to add a bit more depth to that eye since it's looking like one big, flat shape instead of something with actual dimension. That said, I kind of like how it's coming out. It actually looks a lot like me, aside from the fatness.
a neverending "project" of mine.
the character was made back when the Daxter PSP title was released, as fan art..
and then he's been through a couple of maya animation sessions, ended up in motion builder..
just did a fraps of some of the animations I've got for him right now.. hehe, horrible presentation I guess with the looping and whatnot.. but maybe animators will like it
cheers Sandro and glynsmith. Pior , not really sure what you mean by edge creasing. TBH I can't really remember if I did anything other than subdivide it:/
nice mean angel seth.
A new project I am working on, something different. I will be looking for some more help soon, expect to see a thread in the Requests section within a few days.
Jackwhat, the top one looks great, but I dunno about the one on the bottom. The darkest bits on the mountains seem a bit darker than they should be considering how far away they're supposed to be. A touch of atmosphere would go a long way; right now it looks like something from a model railroad.

Nice, an automatic garlic press.
by its size it looks more like a Onion press

Here is my contribution to the same project. All the major modeling is done, now all I need to do is to tidy it up a bit before I start rigging.
The eye sockets look kinda funky. Can we get a close up look on the skull?
..and nice work everyone!
