Good stuff, although the texture resolution could probably been a bit higher in some places. How does it work? One shot?
Yep, single shot. For when you only need one REALLY big bullet.
Long story short, I lost some of the textures in a power outage and had to remake them, some mistakes caused the sampling to get messed up and as a result certain parts are blurred. I was just too annoyed by the time I finnaly finished it to go back and fix it, so I stuck it on the pile of things i'd like to go back and finish.
edit: I just hit the report button and typed this whole message in before realising what box I was typing in. I'm tired.
@ Oskmos: i think is a little soon to project your texture. I mean you should add more detail on your model before you project. Head is a little too big and hands need more work, but i'm not pro i'm maybe wrong. Anyway g,luck and lol @ penis joke.
Arsel: maybe exaggerate the features a little more? Dhalsim has a really tiny nut sized head long highly toned, somewhat brutally carved muscle structured arms and legs. He's also deathly skinny with an overhanging ribcage.
I worked a little on some fanart for Avatar the last airbender to make me forget about the movie! and because I haven't done diffuse in forevah
If I were you, I'd shift the hue of the darker colours just a tad to provide some variety. It's a personal style thing, I know, but I think the light/dark contrast on the clothing isn't very eye catching because it's mostly the same hue.
laro - good for a first shot, but you got too detailed too fast. Your an expert at leaving detail out and only choosing to add the details you need, so I know you get it. Focus on the big, macro forms until you are super happy with them, then move on to the medium size forms. Don't add a single detail until each larger shape is just the right form with just the right edge sharpness or softness. I love your work so I can't wait to see how it goes.
doc rob - Awesome thank you for the advice! Yeah the head ended up looking really blobby. I have a lot of trouble with applying myself to sculpting, my ordinary modelling experience doesn't really help me here haha. I'll keep on trying!
Funkybunnies: great work, by far my favorite character from the show, and you have done her justice, love seeing an older version of her too btw, great work on the face and eyes esp!
larolaro: Looking good! Like doc_rob says, try to be disciplined and get the big forms perfect before adding detail. One thing I often do is only subdivide the mesh a couple of times at first so that it's still quite low res. That way it's easy to work on the major shapes and then when you subdivide further everything should still be really clean.

Here are some rough lines I put together in a few minutes, keeping alot of the same elements from the pencils in my old sketchbooks.
And of course, it ain't done. I won't go to zbrush until I'm completely satisfied.
Sorry if the pic is so large, damn dropbox.
Bumped, went through major changes.
This reminds me that I'm actually quite excited to see DREDD whenever it gets under way.
wow ... thats really great, Jaco! Love her face... sheยดs a Lady !
thinking of making a medieval style courtyard - (stone texture more suited for a wall i think)

Dat Ass....
I posted a mini-tutorial on GA, it's pretty simple but might as well post it here too.
doh! Damn typo...
texture stretching sucks. I think it's a uv issue.
You don't understand how damn useful this is to me. If I weren't religious, I'd call you GOD.
Working on Dhalsim.
@ seth: Impressive work, i'm looking foward to the final result it's gonna be awesome.

I presume you've properly ensured you have a little captain in you when you're working on that Rens

Made with Blender and from the viewport using GLSL.
I would really love to hear some feedback. So I can improve things in the next project I work on.
